That shit was kinda lame, I can picture lil sis and my brothers liking that shit though.

My question which may be slightly off topic is why arent the more talented rappers in the bay get any shine on MTV?
cuz most of the rappers that the bay considers talented do almost nuthin but drug/gun raps....i mean, look at the "From The Hood" video, it has 3 of the bigger rap names from the bay, and like 40% of what is said got edited out....that kinda stuff doesnt make it on constant rotation

We were supposed to get Jam of the week, but R.Kelly and Usher beat us out. It's hard to compete with those guys. It will also be premiering on MTV 2, U, and maybe Direct Efx next week. The Single gotta get more air play around the country for it to make the count down. Thanks yall for all the support. Wait till yall hear the remix in the next two weeks, it's crazy. Im not gonna even tell u whose on it, but it's crazy! check out myspace/kafani1 for any new updates.

Kafani "Money's My Motivation" instores 8/28/07
Kafani "The Nascar Car Ryda" mixtapes available on myspace in July!!!!!!!!!
That a good look for you. I hope he makes more than "Fast...".

dude that beat fucking slaps...the lyrics are a bit corny but over all the song is cool to knock. Its like this, sometimes I want to hear good lyrics and I throw on some Zion I, other times I want to hear just straight blappers so throw on some nonsense with a dope beat and ignore the "engine engine number 9 rolling on that transit line if the train falls off the track do you want your money back Y-E-S spells yes so you are not it for the rest of your life cuz she was fast like a nascar....." lol!!! Damn that shit is corny but the shit knocks!

really? everyone has different taste?

as an artist living in the Bay, I feel obligated to NOT support this kind of music making its way to the mainstream. Since so few artists from the Bay get any shine, the rest of the world gets the impression that songs like "Fasst" and "Vans" are accurate representations of what we do out here. When, in reality, those are novelty songs based on catch phrases and fads that will soon fade away. We have a lot of talented artists out here that could really become factors in the game. However, by supporting anything Bay related (no matter how bad it is) we're sending the message to the industry that we are just mindless groupies who don't even care about the music. We lose credibility that way and it only hurts the talented musicians. so I think we should be very picky about who throw our support behind.
thats funny cuz the same "novelty songs and "catch phrases" is the same kinda stuff thats coming out of atlanta and houston...and look at the shine theyre gettin and look at the Unity they have... If you wanna keep it "real" then stay underground and sell ur music out the trunk for the rest of your life cuz u'll never make it on the radio, and definately never make it on tv. Some people actually like the spot light. like they say..."everything u see on tv aint real" but it definately makes money. and we all know MONEY IS A GOOD THING.

How did I Tried get some shine then? Cuz of the Akon feature? And the BTNH name? What about Runaway Love, was it cuz of Ludacris coming back doing something different? I know fasho it wasnt Mary J cuz no one likes her. It took her forever to get noticed.

Yeah. South is way more controlled than the bay anyway. That's a good thing, too. Look it even got em to the top of the rap mainstream.

And yes talking about guns is one of the reasons bay artists dont get on the radio. Basically there's not too many songs for broads. Most of the hits are for broads. Then again that's not entirely true because there are bay hits that have nothing to do with girls. Also some songs that had to do with girls didnt take off, like When U Want It.

I Tried and Runaway Love are two positive songs (at least I think so). They have good messages and they're not the same old mindless shit that you usually hear on the radio.
