they compare him to rakim because he's lyrical, has cadence on the mic, his flows are smooth and powerful and just flat out he knows how to rap..

in the day and age we're in now, with rookie hyphy rappers claiming there mc's because they talk about smokin purp, going dumb in whips they don't have and being pimps the game is being saturated with horrible talent...

the bay and northern cali probably has 3000 rappers that all sound the same and unfortunately only 5 of them will see decent money to make this a living...

so fashawn is a breathe of fresh air that someone from the west coast is still making dope records for the streets, kids, girls, etc but who actually has talent...he's in his own lane right now and the kid is going to be around for a long time... hate him or love him he is the truth...
