Not only that we were in the ATL trying to make copies of the show cd and had to rent a fucking studio becqause NOONE had a cd burner & if they did it was on a computer with outdated programs.. ATTENTION EVERYONE THE BAY is THE MECCA of technology its a lil place called SILICON VALLEY!!! fucking computer software and cd burner are INVENTED & CREATED HERE! AS far as a market for Bootlegging NEW YORK is The capital they have entire districts for bootlegging and thats because the manufacturing plants and majopr Distributers are there and thats where the leak is.. We bootlegg the fuck out of our own and that aint cool that why NOONE does OUT OF THISD WORLD #'s here DR. DRE and Jay Z have Soundscanned over 100,000 UNITS in just SF-OAK-San Jose on single Albums thats means there are FANS here but We are QUICK to jump on a outsiders Dick when noone is looking but SCREAM BAY AREA! I know cd burners costs the same.. But people in the south are about Quality sounding Beat in their cars its crazy.. They want the original man so those heavy ass drums that all their producers use HIT in their cars and trucks man niggas be on their blocks sitting in them trucks watching dvds outside of their house i didnt get it but they are big on cars and when you are you are big on sound.. thats one reason they spend so much at the record shops.. cats out here cds sound shitty anyway dont matter if ya burn it or not they recorded, mix, and mastered at their house on their 1000 dollar digi 01 protool set they got for christmas.. when people ask me what fucked up our REGION Music wise i always answer PHOTOSHOP and PROTOOLS cuz everyone thinks their a graphic designer and a producer and they can do it theirselves..

haha how bout the ones who have downloaded adobe photoshop and practiced hard for about a year,then turn around and ask for 350 or up to 500 for sum graphics. or how bout producers who are just truly beat makers and dont know the difference between the two and ust sale raw tracks from out of their fruity loop sessions,no mixing what so ever and then call it a day or those loopers, when u create an 8bar loop,and loop it throughout the whole song with an occasional change up,haha...shit is ridiculous, technology is good and bad at the same time, cant knock protools digi 001 or 002 its the shit,not the bext cuz real protools HD system can cost from 10gz up to 100 racks if im not mistaken,but it is the leading standard,but i can perform the same shit on sonar 4 with a suitable ocntrol surface and get the same quality if i was in a proper studio recording facility
yeah ^^^^ i agree with you on that pricing shit.. and also its NOT the equip and i aint knocking 01 or 02 i use em both, and Ive been in the studio with some of the best producers in the world and some of the most fire ive seen came outof just a plain ol mpc 3000 ands a phantom/ triton.. or even worse i saw a very well known beat come out UCER all day... and to me dj/former djs makes the best beats..
The Bay Area $ales are the way they are because evryone who used to buy San Quinn, and 11/5, Herm, GLP, Totally Insane, etc. are now rappers or supporting their brother, uncle or homie who is a rapper now. The Bay still sells hundreds of thousands of units, it's just spread amongst 1000 records instead of the 50 that would come out in a year-circa 1992-1996. All the producers from the hay day aren't around any more, if they are it's behind the scenes or just with their particular camp or artist. Now everybody is a producer, anyone can make beats....Technology and our Hustle made it this way-The American Dream, HA!

yea im tryin to do the dj thing to,i hear about that alot that djs have a better ear when it comes to making beats,and i always like the dj thing,always felt like that can be up there like kid capri,doin my lil "chicka chicka" dj scratch thing,haha equiped with my on backspin haha.
but now bootleggin wont end no time soon,but i feel that with the rise of websites like nortern ridaz.com that bootleggin will decrease; the reason being is because that most people IMO bootleg music because they want to hear it before they go out and spend they hard earned money,10-12$ for a cd may seem relativly cheap but lil shit like that adds up,especially if u broke,and u wanna budget your money - u cant just go out and by anything,cuz for instance if sum 1 was to go out and buy an album for example if they was to go buy a bay area rapper new cd,and they buy it just to support it - then listen to it,and dont like it. u can only return it and get back 50% of your money,and that type of shit will get u mad,cuz i done did it a few times, buy a cd and not like it,then try to return it and only to find out that i cant get all my money back.
but then again with websites like siccness.net mafuckas be leaking hella songs, for instance that team album "world premier" might aswell say it was relased by siccness.net or sum shit haha cuz i heard alot of tracks from there on here

with me personally, i dont make that much money and i love and try to support all bay artist to my fullest of capabilities but hell,realisticly i cannot go out and buy everybody new cd,its tight as it is (money wise) so if i am goingg to go buy a new cd,i gotta make sure that it is atleast sounding right before i decide to go and spend my money on it

Everybody in the A I know has a CD burner it aint the stone ages. Property is much cheaper there so people have alot more shit than the do out here.
