I look at this topic two different ways anymore.....

1) What album is the best lyrically and best overall as a fact?

and

2) What album do I personally like the best?

With both of these questions, I go back to that place in time and remember what was going on, where I was in my life.

The album that I know has the most emmotional impact overall is Anghellic. So, for question number one, I list....

1)Anghellic (OG), 2)Everready, 3)Absolute Power. Although, Everready takes the top slot as far as production goes... the lyrical content of Anghellic far outweighs the other two.

Now for question two.... of course I'm liking Everready more than any other right now, but if all three of these came out at once, which would spend the most time in my CD player? The three albums were released in 2001, 2002 and 2006.... one when I was in High School, one when I was in College, and one now as I am a parent and have my own family. Hmmmm....... Damn, it's so even for me.... I do like them all, but there is something about Absolute Power. I know it's the weakest lyrically of these "big three" albums, but I guess I just like those diss tracks too much. I could easily switch these up, but right now, this is what I feel is most accurate.... for me, anyway. But seriously, I've had 4 & 5 years to listen to the others, so I can bet over time, that my preferences will change. :paranoid:

1)Absolute Power, 2)Anghellic, 3)Everready

In the words of Black Walt "WHOA...HOLD ON MAAN..."

I think AP is up there lyrically with Everready...Yeah Anghellic is better than the 2, but I think AP and Everready are about the same lyrically...

I dunno maybe Everready by a hair...

all depends on the mood of the listener, you cant quite compare Suicide Letters to Fuck Em Girl, Devil Boy to Twisted, The Grench to The Worst, Questions to Bout Ta Bubble, and so forth...if you catch my drift

For real? Man, I thought everything flowed really good together. Like, if you don't hit the forward button, it all goes real nice together. Now, maybe Night & Day didn't really fit too well before Jellysickle, but I think that's one reason they had the TECH Radio skit between the two songs. It was a nice transition into Jellysickle.

Overall, I thought the track arrangement was killer. You have your party and club tracks, then it decends with Come Gangsta and stays in that personal mode right through The Rain. But then, you get snapped out of it with the Welcome Back & Party Hard message and a killer ass beat with Fuck 'em Girl. Then to finish, you have another party track, and a track that is personal and hyphe with This Is Me. A great way to sum up himself, his life and his three albums.

Anghellic has great lyrics and energy, AP was all about the Party, but Everready tops em alll , its got energy, party, lyrics, reality, and the production and quality beats puts it over the top, Thats my opinion

i just don't get how people say AP was all about "party shit"
ok. sure, that;s waht tech himself said, but "fuck the industry" and tech's verse in "guns will bust" and "yadadada yeadaa--daa" were not "party shit"

even, slacker.... even tho' it's a pop tune... it's got a pretty heavy message...

Obviously not all the songs were Party songs , I love the album but if i was to use one word to describe it, it would be "Party" and thats not a bad thing,
but to emphasise Everready is a multi-dimensional album , I love all 3 but Everready is > than
