If you were going to introduce some one to 90 Bay Area rap, what are the 10 or so albums you would use to do so.

My list, off top of my head and certainly not final:

Dush Tray - I'll Rather Lounge
Big Mack - A Better Way
Dre Dog - I Hate U With A Passion
Cold World Hustlers - Iceland
Two Illeven - Ounce Of Game
11/5 - Fiendin 4 Tha Funk
IMP - Ill Mannered Players
NOH Mafia - Niggaz On High
RBL Posse - Ruthless By Law
Deco D - The Soul Taker (I know, technically not Bay)
San Quinn & Messy Marv - Explosive Mode

E-40- Hall of Game
Too $hort - Gettin it
Spice-1 - 187 He wrote
Celly Cel - Killa Kali
Mac Mall - Illegal Business?
Ant Banks - Big Thangs
Richie Rich- Seasoned Veteran
Dru Down - Can u Feel me

These were the albums ^^^ That made it across the Rocky Mountains to Denver where I was raised. You might say this was the more mainstream shit from the bay area--like Operation Stackola---everybody had that album.

I had to learn about the underground, and other classics from these boards or like you said from compilations like City of Dope.

Solid list. All those albums have heat on them.

Since you're from Denver, any chance you have a rip of Syn - Morbid are your hard drive some where? He's from Denver I believe.
