yea this album is real nice. It's like a cross between relapse and the eminem show with a rock twist. Hopefully it wont be his last album, despite what he says on 25 to life.....

if you guys like listening to rhianna and shit like that then thats your style, im not hating on anyone but you just have to recognize this album for what it is. theres nothing wrong with "pop" music, i catch myself listening to a pop song here and there once in a while. the only reason you guys dont see how soft this album is because you listen to gay shit all the time and youre used to it. eminem even said in interviews that this album is going to be more emotional than relapse which was just pure rap records (and it was). and im not just listening to ONE album, i mix everything, and i mean everything... too long to list.
Umm like Meta4ical said, "pop" music means popular music, music on the radio/TV. Only 3 or 4 songs from this album will be on the radio/TV. Those will be his "pop" songs I guess.

These aren't short and simple love songs directed towards teenagers. Listen to the fucking lyrics. I guess it's the "softer" beats and the different kind of hooks your not feeling. I guess you classify Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, etc....as pop music. Their singles are. But so are T.I., Jay-Z, Kanye, Wayne, & Jeezy's singles, because they are played on the radio and TV. They are "popular". Pop music isn't really a genre. Its a mixture of all kinds of genres, rock, R&B, rap, everything.

and yea i only cycled through the CD twice, without listening too closely but thats the feeling i got from that track....one of my favorite on the CD.....although it doesnt make sense it almost sounds like he is goin at jay z..or nick cannon LOL...the last verse on that track is gonzo
25 to life is also about his relationship with hip hop, he doesnt reveal it until the very last bar though..

That's exactly how I feel. I loved the horror-movie theme of Relapse. His flows and the dark production (e.g., 3am, Wide Awake, Same Song and Dance) on the album were insane. While this album is a lot more personal and emotional, I just can't get into most of the production and his newly acquired rapid delivery.
