He had his OWN shit! It aint for me, thats why i said that in my first post. He sound like the rest now, besides his voice. He need what every one of my favorite rappers need. To fuck wit them old producers they used to fuck wit and stop usin them whack ass beats. I know he still tight but i wish people would stop talkin shit on the niggas who do still like the old(way muthafuckin tighter) sound. Aint nothin wrong wit that.
I can respect this post right here. I feel exactly the same way. I like the album for the most part but I just don't like the the new generation of Bay producers. The Bay sound has evolved to a more corny robotic arcade game sound and I just don't feel it. I'm not even feelin rick rock anymore even tho thats my dude. His shit sounds all the same now. Fuck makin slaps rick give me the tracks you give artist outside the bay. I dont know...maybe my ears changed once I moved from the bay.

Anyway go support the album as I did and always will simply cuz im a fan and always will be.

I understand your opinion but honestly niggas like you is why he came wit this garbage because they can not seperate their respect and love from advancing the artform with better product. I grew up on Water and I ain't talkin H2O either I think he had several classics after In A Major Way including Ghetto Report Card but this album is below standard and the sells will reflect that. If I was around him I woulda been the one like naw redo that, don't use that, use that not to boss a nigga around but to bring forth the best product possible. Everybody got a opinion and that was mine.

As far as myspace, name a rapper who don't have a myspace page and I'll point you out sum1 who is irrelevant. Just bein honest my dude.
40 shud totally follow your advice & maybe he can hav a maybach someday.

Ball Street Journal is way overrated. His most commercial sounding effort yet, with too many autotune pop numbers (that Akon track in particular is horrible), not enough grit and grime.
The record is largely a disappointment though there are a number of good songs (that second track in particular is ridiculous, as is "Got Rich Twice" (except for Turf Talk's irritating chorus), "Earl", and a few others)...overall, his last record was much better, but even "My Ghetto Report Card" was not nearly as good as the rest of his earlier work.

this is a buisness, you have to respect what the man is trying to do. Theres citys 40 cant even perform at, bcus of that last album. That hyphy movment scared alot of city officials. On this album you can see he is trying to go with a different approach. But at the same time gots the hood songs for the nigs. and about being overrated, i think every rappers album is always overrated, thats how you pump it up! but if your a fan, your goin to respect the work.

The best song on the entire album is the last one, by far. I wonder why? Oh, thats right. Bosko produced it and B-Legit and Suga T are both on it.

It's sad when the best verse on an E-40 Album is a B-Legit verse.

I guess most people (including this board) got caught up as fuck in the hyphy/new-age movement and the "stupid-flow" style of rapping. That's not who E-40 should be. The more street/mobb/90's influence (as seen in: Pray For Me) is where he sounds like himself. Everything else is just pathetic. I hope he quits after this piece of shit album.
