got a 360 for christmas..came with the lite-on drive..got my shit modded with iXtreme 1.5 from some square ass asian kid for $45..already got a gang of new games for 5 bucks a pop - gow2, fallout 3, halo 3, cod5, madden 09, nba2k9, fifa 09, mlb 2k8, gtaIV, fight night 3..these 10 games cost less than 1 normal xbox game! hhaha i'm lovin this shitt!!
i modded (flashed) my own box and about 5 friends boxes, all of them are still online. Its not a big thing you just have to hook up your console drive to a sata controller on your pc (unless u have a new Lite-On, cause then you have to solder or buy an external hardware for 40 bucks) The risk gettin banned is much higher if you have an old dvd drive (like the samsung/hitachi ones) if you got a new Lite-On or Benq/Philips you are good to go for now (theres always the possiblity of gettin banned if you are going online with a flashed box). Im gettin all my games by myself for 0 tho

Also over here i read that guys' even send in their consoles to fix the ROD (ring of death) with a flashed drive and ms didnt do shit they even put in a new drive and motherboard (means you have to flash it again but also you got new hardware which isnt that bad in my eyes).
