It's only dumb if you're a native american from the 1600s who believe in wasting no part of an animal, some things are meant to be eaten and some things arent. Milk should be in the not list. Milk is a business, and its just another way to profit from the most common prey. If chewing on cow ears somehow made it into the common human diet instead of thrown to dogs, we'd have that pushed on us and its miraculous... whatever, instead of milk.
plus, the difference is, humans are omnivores by design, just because i eat a hamburger, doesnt mean im going to have in my diet chewing on a cow tail, or eating a cows eye ball, or sucking on a fucking hoof for a year... see the difference? Theres almost NO reason to drink milk outside of its taste. If thats all you drink it for, cool, but theres no magic bone strengthener/body grower in it. Any benefits are available in other common foods people eat.... but I do drink milk(chocolate) occasionally when I can keep myself from thinking about where it comes from, but I blame that on being taught to like it.
I've eaten tripe(stomach lining), tasted cow brains, love some cow tongue, tried ox tail, blah blah... so i'm not on some peta vegan bullshit. Just some observations and thoughts.
edit: hah, this didnt seem so long when I wrote it... not proof reading... im pulling a too long didnt read on my own post.
