I hate to see anybody in the bay area act like punks after the Drake video shoot there but that's exactly what's going on. There used to be so much game in the city and now all I see is crying, hating and jealousy.. the bay is being represented on some girly shit right now real talk!!

Gemini- No Sir, its not that everyone wasnt rappers, it just took money to be able to get in a studio to record (as it does now), it took someone who had the equipment (as it does now), now that it is easily accesscible those voices that were anable to do it due to financial constraints can now do they thang. Thats like sayin everyone wasnt singers in Detroit in the 50's and 60's, do-wop group on every corner, but most didnt have the resources to actually go into a studio and record...

And personally, I think it's disappointing to see the support ignorance and hatred. I'm not even talking about who made the song, but the people who ride for it simply because he expressed it. Carry on, merry christmas.

I respect your opinion & agree to an extent. I admire how you came with a legitimate reply without using the scape goat replies, often used when people have a statement that can't hold water. You know, the hater, snitch, you sound like a cop, you would snitch etc. LOL!

Your right in your reply though. Yet, I still say it's a major difference from the early days of Hip Hop to the way the game is played today. It's changed so much and the demand is much higher. The music industry is saturated from the underground to the mainstream & everything in between. And again, that's what I base my thesis on: That a unknown act dissing a known act for the sole purpose of trying to get on is not going to happen in this new millennium. Too many Chief's & not enough Indians in today's music industry. Everybody is trying to get on some how, some way. The regular John Doe that wants to work a 9 to 5, buy a house, a couple of kids, a dog & a white picket fence is in the minority today. Everybody thinks they have what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry.

Not like before, you had a handful of rappers and a response record would pop up out of nowhere and a small battle would start. People would take sides and buy the records. Now everybody raps and record response records, but the industry today is in the millions & with the help of the internet. There is no more word of mouth like back then. True word of mouth. You tell someone about a new rapper back then & you'd be excited to hear what he had to say. You had to go out and buy the record. Now we just hop online and there it is for free. 9 out of 10 you won't even click on it because there are 20 something dis tracks with 20 different artist. Back then it only took one. Which goes back to what I'm saying, everybody is rapping now. Anybody coming out right now has to be 1000 times greater in every aspect to shine brighter than the other artist. Other than that he's just another penny in a bucket full of pennies thinking he's shining, but the reality is, he's simply blending in with the rest.

I've taken a few jabs at lil wayne and kanye in a few of my raps..

But I didn't do it in the hopes they heard it and expect for them to say anything back.. out of the millions of diss tracks aimed at them your/my one is just a drop in the bucket..

I did it because the song was a statement on the current state of rap and you can't point fingers without naming names.. I turn on the radio and after a few minutes get sick to my stomache.

So this is the response you expect? To rally the troops and lead them all on a haters mission over something that already happened? That's cool you talked to Quinn & Mall, but c'mon LMAO! What response did you expect from those that weren't invited to the video shoot? Of course they're gonna be upset LOL!

If that makes you feel better, so be it. I can't agree nor understand what satisfaction anybody would get out of something like this, but hey! To each their own, I guess. All I'm sayin' is, it's a shot in the dark due to the ones your dissing are never going to hear it. And trust me, if they ever ever do, it will just be disregarded as a bunch of bitter nobody's that thought Drake owed them something because they from the Bay & think their famous. Drake invited who he felt is relevant and by getting at 40, it's enough. To represent the Bay the only 2 you would really need is 40 & Short. Anybody else is just taking up space on film. What good would it do to be in the video with 78 motherfuckers standing in a bunch? That way you could tell everybody look at me at 2:01 on the video. "Watch, watch pause it." I'm the one in the Bonds throwback jersey & Giants hat standing next to Berner LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?

Let it go, Bro. That's my motto.

How can you fit all these people in a video ?

MAC DRES MOM IS IN THE VIDEO AND GAVE THE GREEN LIGHT.... END THREAD please.
