We been called a bunch of things over the years. We hail from Las Vegas but we West Coast Rydaz. Being from the West Coast Rap scene aint the greatest place to be from right now....but we don't give a shit. Vegas was infiltrated by LA gangs in the early 80's...prolly just like your city. We aint but 280 miles from LA, I have to believe this was one of they first stops.
We already had Gangstas before they came tho...we had the street gangs and we had the real gangs, The Mafia. Did ya'll know Prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada???? Not Vegas, but 45 minutes away in Pahrump and then Northern Nevada too...Imagine growin up in a town that has legal Hoes and was run by Mafiosos. Anyway, next year, 2007 is Cin Sity Records 10 year anniversary. We dropped the Pray 4 Me CD in 97...XV was out in 94 but that was on Black market Records....in 95 we said screw Black Market and decided to release our own cd's. We recorded Pray 4 Me in 96 and released it in Feb of 97, officially startin Cin Sity.
All this shit might seem like ramblin, but the point I'm tryna make is that whatever you label our music and think about us, we have been here a lot longer than a lot of groups/labels....I can think of a bunch of groups & labels that was poppin in 94 that are on milk cartons now...we STILL here! Rappers have came and went, powerhouses have disappeared, distributors done went Bankrupt, Mom & Pops done went out of business, groups have broken up, CD's surpassed cassettes, Downloads surpassed CD's, the internet has taken over...niggas done died...even the place we started, Black Market, is gone...whatever has happened, thru it all- Doomsday Productions & Cin Sity Records remained.
We are a small ass Indie label, but we have made it thru even when multi-million dollar Major labels have went under....We thank every last one of you who buy our shit, introduce it to yo homies, bump it in yo rides etc.
2007, the 10 Year Anniversary, I shit you not....we have some HEAT coming. Ya'll just keep rollin wit us...
CINcerely,
Sir Playboy 7
