I think it's true, the best Hiphop ever made was about social issues. That's exactly what Hiphop is about, it's a voice for the ghetto and unheard.

On the topic of hip-hop though... there already is all kinds of great hip-hop out there, you just have to look for it, not listen to the garbage on the radio... Those mother fuckers don't really care about music, all they care about is dollar signs...
