Lil Wayne thinks hes the greatest fucking rapper out there. Dude has nothing on the heavy hitters from the bay.

I'm not gonna sit here and lie about it. The dude has come tight in some of his music. I mean I didn't really care too much for the dude before, but he has stepped his Game up and actually grabbed my attention like WTF?!?!?! The same goes for everybody else in here, if that was a lie this thread would not be up and Lil' Wayne would not even be a topic amongst these threads. Let's not lie to ourselves.

Okay, so the amount of money he's asking for, for 16 bars is outrageous to many of us, but not to a lot of the majors.

We can all dissect the whole Lil' Wayne hustle and say so and so is much tighter etc etc, but fact of the matter is, he's hot right now on a major level. That's a spot every aspiring rapper / singer wishes to be in, so let's not go there. Some of you would be singing a different tune if it was one of your favorite rappers from the Bay in Lil' Wayne's shoes & getting that money. It's not like Wayne came out of nowhere, the dude has put in his work.

And if some of your favorites play their cards right, to grab the attention of the people outside their region and sell themselves as artist to the world, they'll have their turn as well, but let's not hate on the next man simply because he put in his time and work like everybody else. The only difference is, he's embraced on a nationwide (might even be worldwide) level. Wayne is in every major Hip Hop Magazine, got videos in rotation and is really doing it like many of us only wish we could (and I mean that with all due respect).

Instead of pointing fingers we should take a deeper look, throw out our game plan which hasn't worked and read a few Lil' Wayne blueprints and step our Game up.

Let's be fuckin' real for once up in here!

i dont carwe who you are, wayne is popular amonst kids, (white kids at that) so that equals SALES. U can be the worst rapper in the world if you got a song with lil wayne you gonan have people wondering who you are... intrests = sales as well so do the math

5gs for a wayne verse, u do the song release it on an album/itunes

Your gonna make the money back if you promote. yes 5gs may be allot for an indie artist but compared to the 75gs dude gets.. its a fucking deal

Good luck getting universal to clear it. You gonna have to pay them a admin clearance fee. That's if they clear him labels get upset when artist don't turn in records to the label but find the time to go record verses for other ppl.

Not sayin lil wayne is in that situation just a little game some of yall may not know.
good point..

you guys are tripping.hes doing more than rap now.

It never sezies to amaze me how alot of people want to demolish somebody and sweep it under the rug / ignore it / turn the other cheek in hopes that it'll go away, or forget it ever happened.

It's a sad sign of not accepting reality.

I just don't understand why you wouldn't use such a in-demand Wayne verse for your own artist Kam?

There's gotta be strings to this... Just draws a red flag

we are using 1 verse for the artist. Wayne ended up doing 2 more songs with the artist because they were vibing in the studio. We just decided not to release the other 2 verses. We kept the one on the initial song and are selling the other 2.
