think i am to the point where i give out more than i receive.

just brought it up cause i seen a lot of people saying things like "i cant wait until i get blah blah for christmas" or "i hope i get blah blah for christmas"

just think its a weird concept for a grown person to be waiting for like a video game from his mom and dad on christmas,hahaha

so are you actually expecting to get anything? cause i sure as hell am not. just as with the last 5 years. bust my ass buyin shit for my little cousins and nephews and dont get shit in return.

I'm on the same boat, I hardly get anything at all. Maybe 3 or 4 gifts...I don't expect shit though, so doesn't really bug me. But yeah, my exports far exceed everything I recieve by a long shot, been like that for a few years...


Honestly, I get what I want on my own, so its just really bonus shit...but it does feel better giving than recieving IMO, as corny as it sounds.

As Ive gotten older I realize how much it seems that the holiday is really about boosting the national economy at the end of the year.

for the past few years my family has been drawing names out of a hat where each member of the family buys one present for the one person that you drew out of the hat. This is strictly for the adults though, all the nieces and nephews get hella presents like they should.

that's how I feel too, christmas for the kids is something special, to see em wake up in the morning to open their presents and the smiles on their faces.... I dont really get anything now, but I always get presents for the little ones, it actually feels great to give during the holiday season

I'm now in the age where I start to buy myself x-mas presents. lol
My wife is buddhist and doesn't celebrate x-mas, so we just go out and buy some nice things for us. I still get some shit from my parents and my sister though. Normally socks and perfume lol

it will, but once the kids get older, the presents get more expensive, my oldest daughter is 11, she has to have an ipod and she only likes green clothes lol, so ill just get her a couple of jewelry pieces and a gift card to the mall for all the other bullshit she wants, cus if i get it for her she wont be happy.....i dunno how kids become so ungreatful if we dont "raise" em like that u know.......i guess i can relate tho..
