Eazy-E changed rap for ever. He brought street music(gangsta rap) to the masses(mainstream), just that alone makes him a legend. What the fuck is everyone who's arguing this talking about? he did something that had never been done, and got a lot of negative attention from everywhere for it(FBI, LAPD, etc...) he paved the way for any rapper today speaking on the same subject matter. period. respect your elders bitches!!!!

I vote No.

Some of you Niggas are stupid.

So just because Eazy "found" Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Bone Thugs - That makes him a legend?

So does that mean Tupac's mother is also a Legend because she gave birth (found) to the greatest rapper EVER?

Some of you dudes are too quick to suck another man's dick once he's dead.

Just like how BIG L is ALSO a LEGEND!!!
This is the dumbest post on the siccness EVER!!!

As an emcee he wouldn't be a legend in my mind because he never wrote a rhyme... Ice Cube and other cats wrote for him... As a business man, that would be up to the people who knew him coming up in the game, but he inspired, and pushed BTNH so without him they might not be around...
So PUFFY & DR. DRE are not legends???

i didnt read the whole thread due to the fact i dont wanna argue wit folks but, he himself admitted he wasnt a rapper. dre even said that on "boyz n the hood" all of eazys lyrics were "punched in" lline for line. that to me makes him no legend. i mean its not like he was big pun where he had so many multis there was no way to not "punch in" each verse, but eazys were as simple as you can get. dre also said eazy was so embarassed to get in the booth that he would face away from everyone and do it in the dark WITH his glasses on cause he was so embarassed. all that adds up up to...NOT A LEGEND. imo. feel free to hate or disagree cause this is a good topic. just try and be respectful when replying.

i will say this though, when snoop was young in the game he hardly EVER looked into the camera. so maybe if eazy was given time to grow he coulda been one of the greats. its too bad we will never know.

I agree that legendary rapper he may not be, he was no lyricist like too short, but like short he created something and brought it to a mainstream level, even if eazy had lyrics written for him, it was his face you seen in the video...so legend in westcoast rap/gangsta rap period?...hands down breh! You cannot talk about gangsta rap without mentioning eazy-e
