he was a legend in his time..although i didnt care for his shit after dre...he was my fav rapper when i was a teenager...i remember my boy sent me the newspaper article in the mail when he died, i was in marine corps boot camp...shocked!

what would make him a legend?
the controversial music he made? his death? him being part of N.W.A? the couple hot songs he had before he died?
he's a memorable person in music, but he's not a legend. far from one in my books. but there's not a title or a plaque that signifies somebody's a legend, its all about that persons point of view.

Wow, You really need to get up on your Rap history folks. Eazy created the independant rap game that ever rapper since has been using as a blueprint. Eazy said fucc a major label we can do it ourselvs and keep our own money and have creative freedom. Not to mention 90% of the West Coast rap family tree has some sort of ties to Eazy. Shit even the Blacc Eyed Peas used to be sign to Eazy lol. . .

Dre gave us Snoop. Snoop gave us Nate Dogg, Daz, Kurupt, Eastsiderz etc

well said. eazy started nwa with his dope money. he was the "real" one out of the group. this dude had dinner with george fucking bush in the white house. lets get real here. he was very unselfish with his money and helped out a lot of kids and gave to hella charities. legend is just scratching the surface when you talk about eazy e.

If it weren't for BTNH sneakin' backstage at an NWA concert, the world wouldn't know who they are. The thing about legends is that they are TIMELESS. Eazy E died in 1995. Some 15 years later, he is still being talked about and is still as relevant when he was alive.
Probably wouldn't be no Dr. Dre if it weren't for Eazy-E. Just look at where Dre was before Eazy.
