That's crazy that you brought this up cause i was thinking about this today.......i'm always saying that i'll cool off of buying cd's but as soon as i hear about something new or see that shit in the stores or whatever, i end up buying it....i guess i'm just a music collector...what sucks is, i'll get a cd, listen to it a few times and then it sits cause i'm bumpin something else that i just bought.......go figure huh?..........peace

yeah, I just like to watch my collection grow. But I probably have only a good 10 cds that I listen to regularly. All the rest get listened to for the first week or two and never see the light of day again. the amount of money I spend on cds is sickening.

I'll keep buying cd's as long as there's artists putting out solid material...also I'll still buy cd's of my favorite artists like 40, Quinn, Mobb Deep, Blegit, etc....what I won't buy is whack ass bullshit and product for artists who don't show appreciation for their fans....can't stand these mothafuckas tryin to act like they god's gift to rap...without fans you'd be nothing...something to think about...

another thing that i find myself doing is this: i'll be looking through a gang of cd's and can't find shit to listen to. what happens next? off to the music store to buy some more shit that will only get a few spins...1

Yeah, I feel the same way. Technically, if I got into a position where money was extra tight and I absolutely HAD to save it for necessities (food, drink, etc.) and if it was a situation where buying CDs would hurt my budget, yeah, I could probably stop and be happy w/ the CDs I already have. But as long as I can afford to buy a CD here and there, I'll most likely continue to do so.

yeah, thats how i feel. as long as i have the money, ima keep spending it on cds. what i have been thinking about is what the hell im gonna do when something replaces cds. i heard it isnt that far away.

I've considered myself pretty much retired for a while now. 2500 - 3000 Ogz Ive collected since 1988'ish, countless archived downloads.. (about a terabyte's worth of just Westcoast shit.) I think I've done more then my share of "supporting artists." I'll buy super hot, and or rare shit of course.. but the days of running out on Tuesdays to cop the latest release's are over. The days of being online daily.. OVER! Too time consuming. The days of keeping up with news, articles, concerts.. release dates etc.. DONE. I've been too much of a "FANatic" for too many years. When I get home from work I browse through my shit and discover music that I've never unwrapped and or listened to. I dont think I'll live long enough to ever bump it all. Seriously. Its nice to sit back and do nothing but enjoy what took so long to collect. I've been closed the book.

oh shit yeah...

i got bout 850 rap releases... when will it stop!! my wantlist is also continuous. mayn i remember when i was on Napster i hardly gave a fuck bout cd buyin.. I musta had 100 cds back then.

i'm thinkin a shiftin 100 odd releases in the trades & deals in the next month or so... i got some shit too.

i used to spend money like crazy on cds...thats all i spend money on, thats how i got the collection i have. but things are different when u get a girl. so now i just listen to the ones i have, and try to get a new cds every few months.
