Do Bay rappers rap about too much violence?

RAP DOESNT INFLUENCE YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE PROBABLY MATURE. BUT A LOT OF KIDS TRULY FOLLOW WHAT RAPPERS SAY UNFORTUNATELY......

I dont know about that man... i dont believe that if everybody would stop rappin the violence would stop thats all im really trying to say.. its way deeper.. i dont think it has THAT type of influence and definetily not as much influence as some people try to claim it has..

im basing this on my everyday experiences and what i see around me everyday and how it is where i come from i can only speak from my point of view... it has alot more to do with the way somebody was raised, bad rolemodels and everday experiences and shit you see that mold you into the man you become.. i just dont think rap plays that big of a role into it all... does it have SOME influence on certain people yeah no doubt about it.. im just saying i feel like people try to put too much on rap and forget all about the bigger picture... muthafuckas been killing eachother way before there even was hiphop.. its up to the individual at the end of the day

I know this shit is supposed to be entertainment but to be honest ppl take this rap shit serious and when u rap about killing niggas in every bar and u eventually get popped u really cant be suprised it went down like dat.Like as a fan how can u be suprised when u hear a rapper rap about violence in every bar and then they swear up and down they really livin what they rap about then somethin happens to them? Like i wouldnt be suprised if somebody told me 50 cent or any other rapper that rap about the shit he rap about got killed.

Take messy marvs playing with my nose he made that song for you to know what he is doing... a person around 17 and up would say hey he is talkin bout some dumb ass shit in this song.... but a younger kid exposed to this would want to try it and see what it is like.

TV dont help either, which is the big brother to alot of kids and music all genre is a big brother to kids. and let some one be high and drunk at the same time and hear a song about killin someone they will take it serious.

the different between 2pac and some new rappers is he told stories that would make you feel it too. now a days dudes just rap about how much killing imma do and how much drugs im selling like its a video game to get the highest score. to me it just seems like you want to snitch on yourself on your own song tell what you do like its legal. us as rappers just need to watch what we say when we have alot of people listening to us and dont know that we just telling stories its not real. and sometimes you have to remind people this is just entertainment.

read my other post... its way deeper then just rap.. take hiphop music away and we would still have the same problems in our communities its a mentality and a way of thinking issue.. the young niggaz i see wildin out around my way didnt become that way because of rap.. i know none of them take rap that serious... they became the way they are because of the fucked up situations they came from, fucked up role models, shit they have experienced that left them with mental scars, lack of parenting, and the way they was raised.. i will say this tho rap, movies, tv etc. can add to it but its not making muthafuckas do anything.. the murder rate was at its highest in the 80s and violence in rap was pretty much unheard of back in them days or atleast not as many rappers was rappin about it compared to now

i agree wit you.... i was just saying entertainment period helps with whats going on....mankind its self is a violent race... i mean even look at animals another lion can kill another one... but the other lions dont care its just the way of the jungle the only reason its so big to us because we have feelings.

im just tired of young kids not having enough good to look up too. but have so much bad to look up to. if i ever do get big enough rappin imma show kids that they can make it out of the hood and its okay to get good grades and have a job... but you have to have dreams too alot of young kids i see now a days dont even have dreams they have to worry about not dying. and its just sad...
