RAP DOESNT INFLUENCE YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE PROBABLY MATURE. BUT A LOT OF KIDS TRULY FOLLOW WHAT RAPPERS SAY UNFORTUNATELY......
I dont know about that man... i dont believe that if everybody would stop rappin the violence would stop thats all im really trying to say.. its way deeper.. i dont think it has THAT type of influence and definetily not as much influence as some people try to claim it has..

im basing this on my everyday experiences and what i see around me everyday and how it is where i come from i can only speak from my point of view... it has alot more to do with the way somebody was raised, bad rolemodels and everday experiences and shit you see that mold you into the man you become.. i just dont think rap plays that big of a role into it all... does it have SOME influence on certain people yeah no doubt about it.. im just saying i feel like people try to put too much on rap and forget all about the bigger picture... muthafuckas been killing eachother way before there even was hiphop.. its up to the individual at the end of the day

my question to yall is do bay area rappers rap about 2 much senseless violence? I know this shit is supposed to be entertainment but to be honest ppl take this rap shit serious and when u rap about killing niggas in every bar and u eventually get popped u really cant be suprised it went down like dat.Like as a fan how can u be suprised when u hear a rapper rap about violence in every bar and then they swear up and down they really livin what they rap about then somethin happens to them? Like i wouldnt be suprised if somebody told me 50 cent or any other rapper that rap about the shit he rap about got killed.
I think you have a point... I remember when Pac died it wasn't a surprise to me... He talked about death in so many of his songs... 'If I Die Tonight' 'So Many Tears' etc... His rival, Biggie (he's not from the bay), said he was 'Ready to Die' and sure enough he's gone... I think some people, even rappers, underestimate the power of words...

I think you are trying to put too much on it... No rapmusic has ever in my life made me want to do something i didnt want to do.. if you take rap that serious youre an idiot period and you was gonna do some stupid shit anyway with or without rap..

people getting killed, violence senseless or not has NOTHING to do with rapmusic it has to do with the person.. it has to be in you.. its way deeper.. just blaming it on rap is too simple
Blame the parents and the music...they say in the bible that the devil has horns on his back to trick us all into following him... music is a way to share emotions. Alot of kids look up to rappers more than they do they own parents so ofcourse rap music plays a key role is some peoples lives.

When we were young in the 80's rap was about having fun and self rightousness and loving yourself and how bad of an MC you are. now a days Rap music in the bay is about how high i can get and how many people imma shoot.

Take messy marvs playing with my nose he made that song for you to know what he is doing... a person around 17 and up would say hey he is talkin bout some dumb ass shit in this song.... but a younger kid exposed to this would want to try it and see what it is like.

TV dont help either, which is the big brother to alot of kids and music all genre is a big brother to kids. and let some one be high and drunk at the same time and hear a song about killin someone they will take it serious.

the different between 2pac and some new rappers is he told stories that would make you feel it too. now a days dudes just rap about how much killing imma do and how much drugs im selling like its a video game to get the highest score. to me it just seems like you want to snitch on yourself on your own song tell what you do like its legal. us as rappers just need to watch what we say when we have alot of people listening to us and dont know that we just telling stories its not real. and sometimes you have to remind people this is just entertainment.

WORDS CUT MORE THAN ANY KNIFE DOES

so watch who you cut... and thats foreals

read my other post... its way deeper then just rap.. take hiphop music away and we would still have the same problems in our communities its a mentality and a way of thinking issue.. the young niggaz i see wildin out around my way didnt become that way because of rap.. i know none of them take rap that serious... they became the way they are because of the fucked up situations they came from, fucked up role models, shit they have experienced that left them with mental scars, lack of parenting, and the way they was raised.. i will say this tho rap, movies, tv etc. can add to it but its not making muthafuckas do anything.. the murder rate was at its highest in the 80s and violence in rap was pretty much unheard of back in them days or atleast not as many rappers was rappin about it compared to now

fuck all that shit man. aint no one ridin on niggas cuz of rap.
thats such an isolated incident.

these niggas beefin in songs see eachother at industry parties and be like..."im gettin that money" and continue dissing eachother like its a game.

its the fans feeding into it and the industry making money off of it. you think no ones explained this to these rappers yet?

real beef youd get shot in your studio while recording the track.. its the modern day soap opera for thugs.

i agree wit you.... i was just saying entertainment period helps with whats going on....mankind its self is a violent race... i mean even look at animals another lion can kill another one... but the other lions dont care its just the way of the jungle the only reason its so big to us because we have feelings.

im just tired of young kids not having enough good to look up too. but have so much bad to look up to. if i ever do get big enough rappin imma show kids that they can make it out of the hood and its okay to get good grades and have a job... but you have to have dreams too alot of young kids i see now a days dont even have dreams they have to worry about not dying. and its just sad...

see your talkin about the industry.... everyone in the bay knows that bay rap is way different than rap in the industry. its not beef talk in bay rap its real...these dudes are way more real than a industry rapper.

i mean just look how many people throw up the T for thizz you see how big a rapper is on a group of people. you crazy if you dont.... i bet you threw up a T for thizz before i know i have... and i dont even do drugs.....im not even in the label or nothing.. it just how the mind works fam.

Black people get hearded like cattle and we dont even see it. we buy the most shit we kill each other the most. and everyone see it but us. we get hella people rich....

nah...im talkin about the industry when it comes to people knowing beef on wax is just beef on wax..rapping is to make money. its an industry. cds are sold...the streets is where it happens...dont for one moment think the bay is the only place where beef is in the streets. half of the rappers in my city are locked up.

street beef has to do with the streets, it has nothing to do with rap at any point in time. even IF they rap about it. why the fuck shouldnt they rap about their lives? its they life, right?

you just basically proved my point

i wasnt trying to get my point across i was just saying my part fam... i know rap is rap and street is street i know people get killed every day...not trying to prove no point at all just saying it sad that we just cant rap about other shit... its a billion other things to rap about other than how many bullets im going to leave in someone. so why even rap about? just need some more uplifting hip hop. thats all fam. well im done talkin bout this killin shit just makin me upset.

nah i hear you....you got alot of violence man down here cuz of this gang shit....im just kinda used to the shit...its been like that for a while..

people gon' continue to get blasted until they can learn how to seperate themselves from the streets...

you start to become that nigga in the streets and thats when the wolves come out...right when you think youre loved...you just really gotta make a seperation between the two worlds before one sucks you in...the way i see it..

be a rapper or be a gangster..but bieng both seems to cause problems..unfortunately this life we lead dosent give us much positivity to work with, you know..look at the conditions...
