Deployment to Afghanistan

Well i got a call from my brother this morning. Said our goodbyes and told him i loved him. Didn't really think i would of been as sad as i feel right now. But today is the day he is deploying to Afghanistan for the next 8 months. My little brother, the lil' mutha fucka i used to beat up and baby sit. Is off to fight terrorism.

Any other Sicc Members or Family being deployed?

Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers for a safe return. So far, I`ve been lucky not to lose anyone I know who has gone over there. I knock on wood for that.

Being a Marine, all I can say is, keep letters flowing as much as possible, and try to keep shit positive. It`s easy to have your mind broke over there.

yeah but all that way thinking is out the window for me right now, right now its USA all the way untill he crosses that finish line, and he knows how i feel about all that, and he knows about all that shit too. his eyes and ears are open, but its his choice and he's a man. all he ever wanted to be was a Marine, and i back him 114%. As long as he's over there, im on his side all the way no matter what. and hope he does whatever it takes for him to come back safe.

Good luck to him..I know where you at right now...my Fam been through 2 Iraq deployments when my stepdad went as Infantry in 03 and again in 07-08...its hard but just just keep in touch and keep sendin out prayers. Hopefully it will go by fast..my step dads second deployment seemed to go by fast to me even though that shit was 15 months long...and think positive as much as you can
