stop calling me a bum, I earned this paid vacation. sucks that it only lasted a month though.
Man, I've done some kind of job since 16 and I've NEVER had a paid vacation. Even while on unemployment, it's no damn vacation. I'd give my left nut to be able to get up every morning and go somewhere to earn some good money with benefits attached...and build up some money consistently so I can take care of my responsibilities without worrying if my funds are getting short.

I apply to about 30 positions every day. I finally got an interview yesterday and I have another one Monday. And as much as I love sitting at home with my son, it feels damn good knowing I'll be productive very soon.

I've worked steady since I was 16 too and had side hustles when I was younger too. The thing is if you REALLY want and need to you can find a job. You might end up making sandwichs at Subway for a few months but you do what you have to do until you find a BETTER job. I know quite a few people who sucked up their pride and flipped burgers, etc to support their family after getting laid off/fired from rather good jobs until they found something better than that. At least it was some sort of income. It bugs me because I know some people that have been out of work 1 or more years and rely on family members, girlfriends/wives, etc to pay for everything. Their excuse is always "I can't find anything out there at all" which is complete bullshit. Go work at a fast food place, grocery store, Denny's, wherever, just get something and actively look for a better job while you do that.

I don't have any kids and I knew 2 months in advance that the place I was working at would be shutting down. so I saved up money and enjoyed the summer for a while.

This. I was working minimum wage for a minute, but with the cost of gas and short hours, it wasn't even worth getting in my car to go to work.

Yeah there are exceptions to everything and I live in a big city so it's easier than if you live in a small town somewhere else (I know you don't). My point is (and not aimed at anyone on here) is that if you really WANT and NEED to find a job, you can. It might suck ass and pay minimum wage or slightly above but there are jobs out there. People just have to swallow their pride and wear a McD's polo for a few months while they look for something better but there is work out there that can get you hired by the next week if you are really serious about getting any sort of job at all.

lol @ giving him advice on how to not get a job.

Just show up to the interview and DO really really bad....like start twitching in the middle of the interview and when you talk, don look the guy in the eyes...focus on some other object in the room..and try as hard as you can to not blink for the entire time.

Or line up some coke on the desk while there interviewing you and offer him some

tear a piece of the application off and tell them you had to use it as a crutch and your sorry

Go out and collect applications and turn them all into the wrong places

When it asks "If you have been convicted of a felony, check yes...and list the following
charges
18-913.Felonious administering of drugs
18-923.Attempted strangulation.
18-3302A.Sale of weapons to minors.
18-4014.Administering poison with intent to kill.*awaiting trial
18-4116.Indecent exposure
18-1101.Bigamy
18-7501.Small Aircraft hijacking
18-5611.Inducing person under eighteen years of age to patronize a prostitute
18-4502.First degree kidnapping -- Ransom
18-5003.Cannibalism *awaiting trial

Dam minor's have to pay child support? What if that minor's parent is getting child support for said minor? Do they raise the amount of child support his parent has to pay so he can pay his child's child support? Sounds fucked up all around. I'm glad I was 28 before I had any kids and am still with my kids mother.

thanks to all the brehs that supported me in may lazyness. I had a good vacation, but now it's time to go back to work. got a job at a distribution warehouse unloading freight. if I had looked for a job right away after getting laid off, I most likely would have ended up with something shitty. my lazyness paid off.
