I'm think I'm just gonna butt in on this little debate.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is the kicker not part of the team? What's the difference if we win by 3 or 30? That's like saying the colts aint shit, they just have a great QB. It doesn't matter who wins the game for them or how it's done, the bottom fucking line is that we win. An average team wouldn't be 8-4 right now, it's ridiculous to sit here and argue that we're an average team with a special kicker. That special kicker is part of the team making them a better than average team. That's not my opinion that's just a fact. He contributes to our overall team just like a QB or a WR does.

Yes, Seattle is an average team. Who have they blown out this year? No one. The defense is ranked 18th overall, 18th in run defense and 17th in pass defense and 21st in points allowed. Seattle is -3 in take/giveaways, good for 9th in the NFC and tied for 13th in the league, and thats only becuase there is 4 teams at 0 and 3 others with -3. The only thing going for us is sacks, in which were 3rd in the NFL. Almost a 3rd of those came in one game. Seattles offense is 21st overall. But youre right, these are numbers of a GOOD team, my bad.
Seattle is inconsistent and has defensive issues. Ill give the offense a break becuase injuries are a major factor. As far as the defense though, I can not find a valid reason as to WHY they are much poorer than last year. Oh wait, here are some. They are essentially the SAME unit PLUS Julian Peterson. LeRoy Hill is not having a great year like he did last year. Boulware got pulled due to poor judegement and our front 4 is getting beat the fuck up. Where is the speed they kept yapping about that worked so well for us? Looks like all the other teams scouted the shit out of that in the off-season. Not to mention, our tackling abilities as a unit have been utterly atrocious. I will say only allowing 4 RB's to go over 100 yards isnt that bad. However, when we stop the run, our secondary is gettin shredded. What gives?
If you people REALLY think that Seattle can manuever THROUGH the playoffs and make it to a Superbowl and WIN with these issues, you are all terrible at analyzing a team.
I luv the Hawks, but im not delusional. It is what it is, and what it is, is an above average team on a good Sunday that can stay consistant.
And even if we do, the AFC, once AGAIN, is gonna be the favorite. Too many teams that are good over there.
BTW, heres another cute little tidbit for yall. Hasselback has had the biggest drop in passer rating in back-to-back years....ever. Over 20 points.
