Cropping your dogs ears

since you prolly have no exposure to the subject other then one of your meth/crack addicted boyfriends, or dateline, i wont fault you for your ignorance... but theres no harming of animals in professional matches...
and MARK, the originators/active dogmen are redneck bumpkins from towns in the south/Appalachians, so you cn keep your quasi racist comment to your self

no folks, theres not always blunt guts and empty 40 bottles and tattoos, and theres no cats being fed to the dogs, or gun powder or cocaine involved, raw red meat and fighting to the death.. theres deaths in dog matches about as much as boxing matches..
but my knowledge in the "sport" will probably create prejudging by the siccness in thinking i partake in this activity. thats not the case, i bred the dogs for years and i researched every thing about the dogs..
read true litterature, not just news paper clippings that pin every dog attck as a "vicious pit bull attack" (even when its a wiry haired mut), watched videos of matches from around the world, went and met with dogmen from all walks of life, but theres no reason to try and enlighten the biased on the subject...
just pay attention to what you judge when you dont know what the fuck your talking about

people in the dog circuits treat it like any other competitve sport, boxing, karate, foot ball..
theres strict diet and conditioning regimins designed to make the dog(athlete in a sense) last long and work hard, and they honestly love to do it,

^yeah theres alot of misinformation behind the sport/activity because of aolt of reasons... and animal activists insist that the dogs are bred and trained to kill which is not true, and and game bred pit bulls are bred specifically to NOT be agressive towards people, because there has to be two handlers, and a referee present in the ring during the match to make sure there are no fatal injuries to the dogs...
the most common injury that occurs is nothing more then a swollen face, much like that of a professional boxer, but you DO come across other injurys due to the nature...
and its still perfectly legal in countries like japan among others..
im not an advocate for dog fighting, yet i understand it cause i bred and raised the breed for many years...

I respect Nonstops views on the subject legitimacy of the game scene. A lot of these wanna be gangsters think just cause a dog goes at it for 15 minutes it makes them dog fighters. Get the fuck outta here with that shit....
Im glad most of you here spay and neuter your pets. I have my personal views on this subject but it is what it is. Im not gonna go into a debate because this topic was about ear cropping.
Theres many styles to an ear cropping. Ive never had an APBT with a full cut cropping, as I'm sure when you hear something about ear cropping your already thinking of a dog without its ears. Its not like I do it with all my APBTs. All the females Ive had, I wouldnt have them go under the knife. I kept them intact. On some males I have kept them too. Ive had over 15yrs of handling gamebred and show bloodlines. So its not like I dont know what It is that im talking about.
As long as I own APBTs, Ill do whatever I can to keep the Breed in its pure state. I like my dogs to look original just as they once have been ever since they stepped foot off the boats they originated from.
