‘Death Row records’ recording artist Crooked I has announced plans that he is to part ways with the label in November and “hopefully” sign to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment. The much publicized lyrically proficient rapper and Los Angeles native has been a prominent member of ‘Tha Row’s’ roster since early 96’ but has grown frustrated with the label’s incapacity to release his much anticipated album ‘Say Hi To The Bad guy’ originally slated to drop last Summer.
Crooked revealed his proposals to Hip Hop Base on Thursday from his home in Los Angeles; “I have enjoyed my time with Death Row records” he says “But I think it’s time for me to move on, I’m aging by the day and I don’t wanna wait till I’m forty five before I put an album out there. The streets is feeling me, I know from [The Mixtape] and all the attention it has generated. Its time to take my career in a new direction.”
On the subject of Suge Knight, currently serving the commencement of a ten month sentence for allegedly assaulting a Car Parking Clerk, Crooked pronounces “I’ve spoken with Suge, I aint got no problems with him. It’s not his fault everyone be fucking with his shit, he aint too happy bout my decision but I explained to him the reason behind my choice. I think he accepted it better than I thought he would, it’s all the same time me.”
So what now for Crooked I? Will he persevere with his rap career? “I spoke to the people at Aftermath a couple of days ago and Dre likes my shit so it’s upto him what happens in that respect. I’ve got a meeting arranged for next week so we’ll see what happens plus its cool cause dude knows I aint been caught up in that beef shit, the only one I got a problem with is Snoop and I’m sure that can be sorted out, as far as Daz and them, the only thing JD can do for me is kill that bitch ass ²²²²² then I’d be happy and fuck soopafly”.

Crooked I needs to come out but not over some bullshit. I'ld donate a couple tracks to that cat free-of-charge just to hear him get down.

Death Row is the worst thing for his career in my opinion. And Darren Vegas just ain't hot enough to give this cat some hits.
