oh richmond i guess but ya thats the same dude...i thought a few of the tracks were coo..like the title track but some was just weird..like goin against the grain weird circus beat didnt compliment his flow IMO

Cool-E is from Richmond and he put out a couple solid solo albums.

The first was Welcome 2 Hell in 1995 which featured Spice 1 and 187 Fac. The album has no production credits, but I think I remember that Xtra Large produced a lot (maybe all) of it. Spice has a hard verse on the title track.

The second solo was Funk Fo' Life in 1997 which featured B-Legit, Levitti, The Outlawz and more. There's some real good production on this album as well.

Before the solo albums though he was in a group called Northside with DJ Doe and Kid. They dropped a pretty rare album, Dodge City, in 1994. The Funk Fo' Life album has a song called "Dodge City" on it, but the original version of it is on the Northside album.

North Richmond part of group Northside Welcome to hell then Funk fo Life man I got all the respect in the world for him I remember in 97 he perfromed at the Crabshack in Oakland and got no love from the crowd when he was announced got booed once he did the song bitch get a job the crowd went nuts he always been a cool cat yeeeeeeeee

Yea I copped the Welcome 2 Hell cd in Bozemon a while back, I think I still got it. I was really feeling the track wit Spice and a few others

yep both albums Welcome 2 Hell and Funk Fo Life were tight and so was that Northside album. They used to be called 2-Deep before that...that's some old school shit right there.
