Converting AVI video too Play on a DVD PLAYER?

sly.. svcd, kvcd, and vcd all let you use a basic cd-r as a video disc. you just burn your project onto a cd-r using nero and then watch them shits in the home dvd or in the whip. nero will do the rest after you start the project.

I tried burning a AVI file on SVCD on nero on a CD-R and it said the disc is invalid or somethin. does it need too be a Mpeg?

nah man nero should automatically decode the avi and make it an mpeg2 as it burns. vcd and svcd uses mpeg2 as the readable format. the burn should take about 30 min at 24x. then again it might have said invalid if the movie you were trying to burn was bigger than 700mb. if youve got the latest version of nero then it will allow you to author it as 1 project but with the ability to use 2 cds for the same title.

I downloaded that winavi converter and i converted this file from mpeg to avi and it has this tag on in it says "remove this nag for only 29,95 at www.winavi.com"

is there any way around that or do you just have to own an original ?

search "join files" in Google and you should get a bunch. I use Quicktime.



Seriously, though. Video file conversion consumes time and space. Converting an .avi to a dvd readable file makes it larger and can take up to three hours for a two hour movie.

Just buy one of those dvd players that plays .avi's and you're all good.

however the AUDIO file has no files in it. should there be?

It basically an external HDD that has video/audio connectors, remote control, etc. You can load all your movies,pictures, and music on it and watch it on your tv. windows media player should play it no problem dude. if not then you need to make sure your shit is up to date.

ConvertX2DVD is the best software available. As far as burning movies, Nero sucks balls.
