So what is it you want to know?

I suggest paying it now. Usually, they will do payments...depending on your credit history.

Medical bills in collections are much different than say, credit card debts in collection. For one, HIPAA laws are extremely sensitive and hospitals consider the consumer (debtor) an asset even though you own them money. In other words, you wont (or shouldn't) get treated as bad as you would had it been a credit card debt. Hospitals know that at any moment, you MIGHT need them to help you, and thats more money for them.

We get complaints all the time here, and the clients jump down our throat for it. The consumer is always right (to an extent) when collecting medical bills.

With that being said, usually we send out a notice saying that you're in our database. This letter is a 30-day letter, in which time is up and you haven contacted us yet, we call you and demand money. If you dont, and refuse to work with us, we will then sue you....if we have enough to sue you for. This usually means that anything you own can be (land, house) can be frozen. If you dont own anything, we can take up to 25% of your paycheck every pay period...called a garnishment. Getting to court can take up to 6 months though.

i dont really have a choice bro, im just another victim in the system, individuals have become back burner, money is dominant and my voice is worth chump change to the forces that hold power

i try to stay happy, but im gonna be brutally honest, ive reached my limit of tolerance

SSI as of 2 hours ago told me that 2 years i spent suffering, in pain, bed riddin and losing weight at a huge rate wont be covered by my back pay (even tho by law, i should get back pay from the time i applied wit my disability) becuz the judge presided over the case in july 09, not october 07 when i had filed

i really dont know what to do next, and sum crazy shit has brewed up in my mind the last 2 hours

damn that makes my problem seem miniscule.. and not only do they want their money now they also charge interest up the ass for this shit.... bunch of crooks
naw i wouldnt say that, we just in the same boat homie

this guy i know fixes peoples credit, it costs 100 a month for 6 months, so 600 total, and this fuckin guy took my score of 580 up to 700 in like 4 months. The sicc part about it is i didn't have to pay any of my creditors back, he just got it removed without any sort of payment.

cool story bro

Yeah no problem man. It's pretty simple really, he just had me send him my credit report showing all the money i owed, and to whom, then he typed up some simple ass letters disputing the charges, sent the letters to me, had me sign and date them, then send them to the creditors.

He told me to not trip when the letters came back saying "oh well you dispute this shit but its gonna remain on your credit", and that's exactly what happened. Every time i got a letter back, he told me to send it to him, then he'd send me another letter similar to the first, have me sign date etc., pretty much repeat the process over and over again. See the trick is, if these fools don't respond back to your letter within 30 days, it's a wrap, no matter what you owe, that shit is gone.

This process is so simple, I realized I, or anyone, could do it themselves. Bombard these harassing mother fuckers with letters, make them slip and not respond, and watch your credit score go hella up.

Damn that'd be real nice if it actually worked just as you described, but it just seems like that would be too easy though. :(
