I was just reading on City Hall website that Cognito wil have a huge nation wide marking plan for his debut album "Recognition" on Master P´s new label Guttar Music. Album features Master P, D-Buck, Guttar Boyz, B-Legit, Cee Lo and more.

-Commercial Spots
Mtv, Mtv 2, BET, VH1 and local stations.

-Magazines: Murder Dog, XXL, Vibe, Source,
King and more.

-Nation Wide Radio Promotional Tour
in 40 U.S. States / 25 UK. Markets.

-Street Teams in all Markets.

-Contest Giveaways

-2 Music Videos wil be shot to support this album,
Mtv, BET, VH1

Well i think they wil do more than just Nation Wide, i mean they wil have Radio Promotional Tour in over 25 U.K. Markets, 2 videos on MTV, VH1 & BET. Street Teams in all Markets. Just that is BIG! The most Country´s got MTV and VH1, i live in Sweden and i got it!

it didn't say debut album... It will be is first album that has nationwide promotions, which is what they mean by that.

technically it will be his debut album. the first one he dropped called THATS MY MIC was really a compilation. one of the best compilations i've heard with trax from everybody. if u aint copped it, cop THATS MY MIC today. as for this album, called MASTER P PRESENTS COGNITO, RECOGNITION. I predict that cognito will outsell every other bay artists this year except maybe e-40, yuk and hammer.

the average decent bay rapper sells 2,000 to 5,000 records. the good ones sell 10,000 units, the best ones sell 20,000. hammer is gonna sell 50,000 easy, and if one of his singles catches on he may go gold. hammer has been gone a while, but hes sold over 25 million records. thats more than every single bay area rapper in history put together. dont forget it.

the best ones sell 20k ? so 40 sells 20k? yuk last compilation alone did 40k

and no disrespect or anything but i dont see anyone on guttar music doing good numbers the last 8 albums p put out flopped and i doubt it will be different this time around... everybody says they are have a great marketingplan.. imagine someone like p saying well we are just going to throw it out there no promo but shit go cop it!
