Anybody know wasup with Clyde Carson of The Team? I know he recently did an interview while he was in New York that was posted on Siccness a few weeks ago...He said he was working on mixtapes, and putting hella music out, but I ain't heard nothing about it since. Clyde go dumbass hard but I really think he need to get away from The Game & BWS because they aint pushing his shit right. Clyde got the potential to bring a shit load of attention to the Bay....

^^^ Im not saying that Game isn't a help at all. I'm saying that Clyde hasn't reaped the benefits of big with a hip hop king yet. Game hooked up with Dre, and immediatly blew...Clyde aint had that luck yet.

Yeah.

I wouldn't blame Game & BWS....being with them is more like a gimmick to gain fans. Capital is the one that should be pushing clyde. I just hope he gets pushed properly when the time comes and doesn't end up like the pack or federation...selling the same they would've independent.

I feel what u saying Capitol should def be doing way more, but It's BWS that's supposed to be putting Clyde's mixtapes out? Oh wait, he doesn't have any mixtapes. It cant be that Clyde is lazy....It's just something is wrong. I don't hear anybody on BWS dropping mixtapes except Game. Not Juice, not ole boy from Arizona who has spitterz...NOBODY.

And these days, record companies let it be known that they will sign you to your deal, but you need to create and maintain somekind of major buzz. Once you have that, they will put your album out if they feel that they can make some money off of you. When people complain about the record companies being the only reason an artist doesn't release an album, think about what the reality is. Nobody forces artists to sign deals with majors, if they got their business shit together and have the right team of lawyers and managers, they can work their deal to their advantage. If not, they're at the mercy of the suits at the record company.

EXACTLY!! The comparison with Ya Boy is accurate because YB was once affiliated with BWS. YB saw that none of the artists besides Game were getting put on, so YB started his own shit. No album, but YB still has fans all over the world. Clyde can't say that...Clyde has far too much talent to be not dropping something besides a few singles every few months.

Unfortunate....Corporate radio owns music right now and if you can't get in heavy rotation in at least 15 major markets you can't get a major to push your album....
