Now I know the Siccness probably has the most hyphy haters in the world, so a lot of yall probably won't give a damn that Chamillionaire is throwing salt, but I kinda had a problem with this. Number one, he put hyphy in the same boat as snap music. I might sound biased, but "Tell Me When To Go" is in no way shape or form on the same level of garbageness as "Laffy Taffy." We all know that hyphy is more than music, can them ATL niggas say the same about snap? I think not. The other problem I had with this is that this is the same Chamillionaire who has supposedly had nothing but love for the Bay. I remember hearing him say in an interview with Emcee T that he thought Hyphy was a good look for the Bay, and we should keep pushing it. Now he pulling this....He just seems phony to me. What yall think?

^^^That's a shame because Bay Area rap is so much more than hyphy. When the last hyphy song that anybody has made out here? That shit is done niggas need to stop looking for reasons to keep the Bay down.

Its a real shame. Everybody and they mama outside the bay looks at our music as hyphy and probably always will. It pisses me off because as soon as the bay got some mainstream shine again it was on some corny goofy shit that didnt represent the bay that I know and grew up in. Honestly it did more harm then good if you ask me because nobody takes our shit seriously at all. Especially inside the industry at these labels. Everyone thought it was all good when in reality we was gettin laughed at by the rest of the country. I never liked "hyphy" and was mad that the bay movement got labeled as such. I'm an old school mob cat and that's what I wanted to be brought to the world. Not that hyphy bullshit.

I understand what you saying, but one problem that I have is that a lot of cats are bandwagon people. When hyphy was popping they were riding the wave, now that hyphy is done everybody saying they was never down with it in the first place. Bay Area fans included, niggas was yelling "Shaboobalaboopie" three years ago, now the same niggas calling that shit wack. Bay fans need to stop being so damn wishy washy. But you right hyphy kinda back fired because it portrayed Bay music in the wrong light.

You know I stayed away from the garbage hyphy shit, and I'm sure the rest of the country aint never heard of Haji Springer. I mean if "Ghost Ride It" is what most of yall consider "garbage hyphy shit" then fine, but "Ghost Ride It" is a million times better than "Laffy Taffy," and anything that Soulja Boy makes. IMO.

i dont see what the big problem is with what he said...theres a gang of hyphy songs that sampled or were at least based off a nursery rhyme

its not his style...its not what he wants to do...hes just sayin that

he aint sayin fuck the bay or anything so theres no reason to get mad about it

Let me fix that for you. Nobody outside the bay ever cared about hyphy. That shit was horrible glad its outdated now. also snap music and crunk isnt in style no more.

Its more just traditional trap club music now.
