what's the last successful boxing ppv that didn't have mexicans on the card? Got Em!! latinos (mexicans) are the biggest boxing fans and supporters we love fucking boxing. asians (filipinos) only buy pacquiao ppv's that's a fact. white people especially younger whiteboys don't care for boxing their into ufc/mma. so your betting mostly on black folks alone to make this ppv a success so we'll see what goldenboy does last minute to make the latinos happy. btw who is Broner suppose to fight?
I know mexicans love boxing but only support their own just like the rest. However Floyd is huge and has many mexican fans and mexican hater who buys his fight to either root for him or to see him lose. Half of the PPV sales are people hoping Floyd loses and buys them just for that. Floyd's fight will do just fine without a mexican headlining with him. U ask what was the last successful PPV without a mexican? How about Mayweather/Cotto! Got Em!!

Floyd fans are of every race. Its obviously not just black people buying his ppv's its all of boxing fans in general.

I doubt Canelo vs Trout will be a PPV. It's too soon for Canelo to headline a PPV.
Thank u man. U been coming correct a lot lately good lookin. Got Em!!

CZAR @CZAR if you read what i said then it makes complete sense. Mayweather knows his defense will only work on shorter or lighter fighters, hence it being successful with Broner as well. You see, I asked a question and asked if it was cool that Floyd bragged about an exception that you called out Canelo on. I agree with you on the calling out Canelo but Mayweather is also a fighter who protects his record rather than giving the fans what they want and its to see him get challenged for reals. By the way, Broner will not fight the undercard since he has to take care of his record to and fight another otta country midget that will make the undercard interesting. lets face it, golden boy has a lot of matches that can make the Canelo fight ppv worthy
I dont agree. U was claiming Floyd fought a smaller dude and he only did that once so its not a big deal. Canelo only fights small dudes so that is a big deal. Not only that but Canelo only fights small mediocre dudes while the one small guy Floyd fought is a great fighter. Big difference. Broner is only 23 and he is no worse than Canelo when it comes to his opponents. Atleast Broner fought the best and champ at 135. Has canelo done that in his division? NO! Got Em!!

The man has done nothing to deserve a guaranteed fight.
Thank u. Got Em!!

Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said. "Floyd told us he
didn't have a problem fighting Canelo, but he wasn't going
to sign anything now. He said, 'All of my focus is on
Guerrero,' and I'm not signing anything to fight anybody
until after that fight is over.
Duhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Ding Ding Ding!!!! Got Em!!

I think a big chunk of Floyd's PPV viewers are people tuning in to see if his cocky ass gets beat for once, not because they are truly his "fans".

There are alot more people that hate the man then love em.
Even though u are a hater u are absolutely correct and thats what i said above. Not sure if more hate him then love him but its probably 50/50 though so close enough I guess. Either way thats why he is the PPV king! Got Em!!

I don't see how people are saying he's ducking when he has taken that stance with pretty much all of his fights. Watch any interview or face off and he will always tell you that he is concerned with the upcoming fight or the person in front of him not the next fight or the one after that.
Yea man some people just blind hate no matter what lol. Thats why Floyd is successful because he doesnt look past anyone. Canelo trying to get a guarantee and he is about to lose to Trout. I am gonna laugh my ass when that happens. Got Em!!

Why does he have 5 million twitter followers then?

He's a popular guy love him or hate him but I don't think a big chunk of people are paying $60 against guys who are heavy underdogs. Maybe against Mosley but Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, no one gives these guys much of a chance.

I have no idea what Floyd's fans look like, but I have yet to meet a die hard Floyd fan that wasn't black. Also, for having that many followers, he still doesn't do particularly well as far as live gates are concerned if I remember correctly. I think people mostly buy his fights because they get hype/build up to the fight and most people buy into the 24/7 hype thinking the guy he's fighting really has a serious chance to win. There might not be 5 million solid boxing fans out there total to be honest, at least not in the states. Otherwise PPV numbers would be consistently higher and ratings would be much higher for fights like rios/alvarado. Floyd is basically a household name but I hear a lot of Floyd fans spewing b.s. on the regular, don't know much about boxing. Same can be said for a lot of Pacquiao fans too.

what else would you expect him to say? "Heck no, I'm scared to fight Canelo"? All he kept saying when Pacquiao was/is brought up was, "if you wanna fight the best, you gotta take the test" after Pac had agreed to all terms of blood testing, Floyd is still singing that song.

all I know is that Mayweather's undercard better be the shit cuz we all know that last time he had CANELO in his undercard and Mexicans were excited for his ppv event more than Mayweather's fight. and it sucks cuz Guerrero is a great boxer but just doesn't garner much attention but once they do a press conference and 24/7 type bullshit they are gonna sell the shit outta him being Mexican.

What do we expect him to say? I expect him to say just what he said. Speak real talk. Pac didnt agree to shit until very late. Go check old ass threads on that subject. They had a deal in place in 2010 and it was 50/50 but Manny didnt want to take the test. he had his chance. Floyd aint trippin off Pac or Canelo trust me. They can get it to. Floyd called that foo direct and offered him his biggest payday yet and he turned it down. I wonder who is really singing lol. Got Em!!

Of course mexicans cared more about Canelo's fight but more fans bought it because Mayweather and more fans cared about his fight more obviously. If it wasnt the case then Canelo would headline his own PPV but that hasnt happened yet so what are u yappng about? Got Em!!

I'm yapping about the card in general. He needs a top notch Mexican fighter cuz he's holding it down on Cinco de Mayo. he wants people to believe that Mexicans are his number one fans but he's always needed Mexican fighters to support him on those days. So if JMM decides to fight on Mexican Independence weekend you think Floyd will like that? Fuck no. Lets face it, Floyd is running out of time with the attraction that he's getting and soon fighters will stop ignoring him just like what Canelo did

What do you mean by he wants people to believe Mexicans are his number one fans? Have you heard him say anything like that? Does JMM have a fanbase as big as Floyd? No. Is anyone stopping JMM from having a fight on Mexican Independence day? No. So if they both fought on the same date who are fans more likely to watch? JMM or Floyd?

What do you mean by, "Floyd is running out of time with the attraction that he's getting and soon fighters will stop ignoring him just like what Canelo did"

See you and others have this all wrong. He is the man in boxing. So he doesn't have to chase ANYONE. He doesn't have to beg for a fight, he doesn't have to come up with guarantees if you beat this guy or that guy. He is the man to beat. He is the draw and PPV king and if someone wants to fill his shoes they need to earn it.

Now I'll ask you the same thing I asked Chriss, which Chriss avoided bte. List 5 things Canelo has done to EARN a guaranteed fight with Floyd.

You'd think maybe just once Floyd would want to fight on CBS before its all said and done. Im sure they would get quite a bit of sponsorship money. But then again probably not enough to pay him $25+ million.

It's a tricky spot boxing is in. Everyone wants it back on the networks but the top guys make more money on PPV to a smaller audience.

Pacman more than anyone deserved his right to fight Floyd and Floyd said no way so end that there. You guys talk what Floyd did shit Canelo beat the shit outta Mosley and don't say mosley was passed his prime cuz those are the only fighters Floyd takes are muthafuckas passed their prime. AND Canelo ain't duckin nobody he's been wanting Ortiz, Cotto, and all them but they lose so he took on the winner which is Trout. He obviously had a say in that cuz we all know Golden Boy didn't want that fight with Trout but Canelo did. He took on Josesito and destroyed him too. Fuck man Canelo's been ready but fools he's taken on are washed up and he doesn't want that. Just like Mayweather does, he wants to fight someone he feels can match up with him and get good ppv numbers. Lets face it, he earned it

Canelo earned it?

He hasn't earned it yet. I know it wasn't his fault a few of those guys didn't fight him but he doesn't get extra credit for trying, at the end of the day he didn't fight them.

But props to Canelo for doing the right thing and fighting Trout. If Canelo wins then yes, he proved himself and Floyd should fight him.

Canelo has proven a lot by not ducking motherfuckers and fighting the winners of his "opponents fights." I can't recall the last time Floyd did that. So that's one reason. 2- He has not LOST a fight 3-He is currently a champ 4-If Ortiz or Cotto won there fights than yes, it would have been a huge ppv fight 5-He has defended his past titles at 147 and is willing to do so against mayweather 6- Mayweather had him as a undercard then, wanted him now cuz he does draw a lot of attention

Canelo hasn't beat a top guy yet though. Lopez was not a 154 pound fighter he was at 140 moving up to 147 to fight Ortiz and was not ranked at 154. The only ranked guy Canelo fought at 154 was Ryan Rhodes who was #7 at the time. Other than that Mosley, he was not ranked and hadn't won a fight in four years. Who else? Alfonzo Gomez? 147 pounder not ranked. Cintron? Not ranked coming off loss to Molina. That's about it. Pretty damn weak.

Well, you know what, you're right. Canelo's title don't mean shit, he's not a ppv draw at all, and he should just retire from boxing. Why the FUCK would Mayweather want him as an undercard for the second time in a row for anyways? And yes, Mayweather should fight on MLK Day for once. i gave you good legit reasons and all you do is downplay my shit, like I downplay Mayweather. lol

Nah comrade, don't get it twisted. I'm not saying Canelo won't be a great opponent later, all I'm saying is as of NOW he's not in any position to demand Mayweather to sign a contract before their upcoming fights. If Canelo beats Trout, like I said Canelo would EARN respect and he then would be a very solid opponent for Floyd and it would be a huge PPV success. Patience comrade, if they both win this fight will happen. Rarely ever in boxing do you see contracts signed before upcoming fights.
