Real Chicanos from the South don't JOCK Hyphy & African American lifestyles, that's the difference. Mexicans up there are followers and look up to the Blacks, the "real" Mexicans down here do their own thing. I say the REAL Mexican culture is down here in the South. They might think were too paisa, well their too black. Atleast were too much of our own Culture and we're sticking more to our roots. If it's not for SoCal, the Mexican-American culture is lost because the Northerners and Texas Mexicans are giving it up.

But if you were indeed one, I would think the most proper way to display your self as a cholo is to dress in the exact way your describing. No matter how silly you think it is, that's a cholo, a real southern cholo look. That's the uniform, lol.
Actually YES, blacks are keeping more to their roots when they say nigga. It shows that they have the pride to do so. Why are some Mexicans, whites, etc... bowing down to that shit and using the word nigga. It just shows they Won, their the culture to be.
I say fuck that shit, I'm Mexican, in no way am I going to use the word nigga. I ain't black, it ain't my word, ain't a part of my culture. They can use it, but not me. I ain't going to use a word to help elevate or bring out the presence of another culture, when it's truely our culture that needs the elevation right now. The mexicans are the real minority, not the blacks. The blacks already have someone running for president, athletes, artists, we are the ones that need the help and by using words like nigga, dressing like them, using their slang, were just helping them out more, we are the ones that need the help, not the black or white man.
Imagine if black youth starting acting like whites getting all into Rock music, emo,..., or black women doing their make-up like cholas, what would the majority think? They won't like that. Blacks act like their own, why can't Mexicans act like their own. You guys HATE the real mexican culture that we have down here, you think were paisas, poor and all that shit.
