Drop the extra 2 bills on the SLR. I just got mine at the Best Buy in Gilroy. You wouldn't think it makes a difference, but it really does.

well i ended up gettin the Canon Power Shot A640 & believe me a SLR is what I want, but I just need somthing for now. I had $400 and the SLR was $900 so, after the federal income tax check hit I can swoop that! thanx tho

best buy gave me the run around on some product that I bought from there a while back, it had the replacement plan and they didn't replace shit.

Any "performance service plan" from best buy is shit. Only covers defects, so if you have any cosmetic damage, any slight scrape, dent etc. don't count on taking advantage of the extended warranty, you will get turned down. Only for car speakers would I get it because you can't really damage them on your own and if they blow you get em replaced.
