Just heard that activision officially confirmed about this.

No more WWII!

I'm guessing it'll be like set around in middle east and you play as an american or british.....or terrorist

First video of the latest in the FPS series to be aired in the US over the weekend.

Activision has confirmed to CVG that the next Call of Duty title will be called Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The game is in development at Infinity War (the team behind the first and second titles in the series) and the game will be seen first on North American television during the NFL draft on ESPN at 1pm EDT/10am PDT.

Activision isn't giving away any details just yet, but rumours suggest the game will see players dealing with terrorist threats around the world. Players will play as part of the S.A.S. US Marines and the US Army, with the action taking place in the Middle-East, Eastern Europe, aboard sea vessels in the North Atlantic and in London.

With the first video from the game appearing over the weekend, expect some official info to arrive shortly.

I'm disappointed.

One of the main reasons I liked Call of Duty is because A). You are fighting against Fascism and B). Sometimes you get to be the Russians (USSR/communists).

Modern warfare is gay because 1). The war on terror is a fraud and 2). AMERICA IS CURRENTLY THE ENEMY OF THE WORLD.

I will not chose to engage in simulated modern warfare UNLESS I can chose to be the "terrorists" and kill the true enemy of the working citizens of the world, the US, which obviously wont be an option in this game.

Therefore, I will not play Call of Duty 4.

you can be whoever you want on multiplayer mode, im juiced as fuck, I dont even play the game, only multiplayer mode, cant wait to wreck fools with a ak47.

If you can be terrorists with AK's on multiplayer mode I might play it.

but honestly I never really liked playin those games on multiplayer cuz there are always those guys that take that shit hella serious and play 24/7 and know all the little tricks and cheats. pisses me off!

i like it when cats hella good, makes it more fun, id go like 30 deaths, and 3 kills for days, now i get like 50 kills and 21 deaths.

not tryoing to get in a GOM debate but, its not like your killing congress and the suits in washington in the game..you'd be killing American soilders..either way id play. but killing our soilders and that being the one thing that draws u too it. aint that a lil idk? fucked up?

Killing American soldiers is somehow worse then killing Iraqi's/Afghani's that are defending their homeland?

My simple logic is that currently the american military is the enemy of the world - they are the ones who are invading third world nations to oppress the people and steal their resources (also known as Imperialism), therefore it would be more appealing to me to fight the enemy.

WWII games are so popular because you get to kill Nazi's - pretty much everyone agrees that Nazism/Fascism is fucked up therefore no one has a problem killing Nazi's.

Modern warfare is a turn-off to me because I know the American military is unjustly invading poor countries and taking their resources - I wouldn't receive much pleasure wiping out some poor ass Iraqi's who are simply trying to defend themselves, simply for the interests of Imperialist nations.

It would be much more of a challenge (as well as mentally stimulating) to be the underdog and fight the most powerful military in the world.

I know it's just a game, but that's how I see it. When I played Red Alert, who do you think I always picked?

Foreal man...I hate those little pussys who sit in the cut with the sniper rifles and wait for someone to pop into their crosshairs !


Sure, I'd be like that if it was actually my life I could possibly lose...but shit ! Its not...I just storm through the open field like a sav guns blazing...

your just the cat i shoot in the face from across the map, the idea of war is to kill, with out being killed, not run around like a 1700's brit getting your brains blown out, i run around 2, but usually in cover.
