there's 2 towns that i know of that have cameras at every major intersections, parks, shopping centers, and schools.....one of those town is my hometown where i grew up......it's called Ripon(middle of Manteca & Modesto) It's a small town w/ the pop. of 14,000.....but it's a small step to bringing those cameras into bigger populated cities(i.e. fresno, san fran, diego..etc).
And these aren't your regular security cameras......officers and county officials have a LIVE shot of the shit going on where the cameras are located. Every patrol car is hooked up to a wifi internet connection giving the officers a bird's eye view of what's going on in the town. It's a waste of money if you tell me(ripon is a ghosttown) and the officers get really bored(i'm guessing since the crime rate is so low that they hand out more traffic citations than they catch criminals).
It's a matter of time until this spreads throughout the U.S. Google it('ripon cameras').......
