They've already released alot of free DLC. I like the motorcycles.

Now the paid DLC is coming...

After pampering us for the past year with huge chunks of free downloadable content, Burnout Paradise developer Criterion is finally ready to reach into our wallets again with Big Surf Island.

Big Surf Island is a huge new playground for Burnout Paradise, with an emphasis on huge jumps and plenty of opportunities to wreck your vehicles in creative ways. Originally slated to be free DLC, that has since changed. Why?

Big Surf is the culmination of everything we learned creating Paradise City, and we want it to bring you a truly spectacular new experience – the highlight of a year of incredible premium content. Burnout already delivers incredible value for money – literally hundreds of hours of gameplay with your original disk or PSN purchase, plus more with the free Cagney Pack and free Burnout Paradise Bikes.

I say thank goodness. They were giving us so much free stuff I was pretty sure we were going to have to sleep with them sooner or later.

I'd consider buying this game but I prefer realistic driving games like Gran Turismo.. Forza 2 on the 360 was sick, just waiting for GT5 now... However I've heard good things about Burnout Paradise, what sets it apart from other arcade style racers such as Need for Speed?

You gotta like the fast racing to like this cuz it really sucks to me that they took out the crash mode. I enjoyed playing it for the 2 months or so i did but after i beat it i have no reason to play it anymore.

Exactly. Having no crash junctions ruined this game for me, those were my FAVORITE things to do on the previous Burnout titles... I got this game and tried out the new crash mode they have on there and was like "wtf?!" sold the shit on Amazon the next week

Midnight Club L.A. shits on Burnout, plus it's alot more customizable.

I just copped it off my buddy. He was trading in a shitload of games and GameStop was gonna give him $18 for skate and Burnout Paradise, so I gave him $25 for both.

It's pretty fun so far. The demo was pretty good and I had been wanting it, but never had enough, or other games I wanted more were coming out. This was the perfect opportunity.
