i need to burn a movie i have downloaded asap

its 665 mb. and its almost 2 hours long i made it fit on Nero with 3.8 GB i think. i went through the whole process and it doesnt burn. it starts the burning process but it seems that it stops in the exact same location every single time in about th first minute of the movie. i tried doing it with Windows movie maker but its hella slow for it to add to the collections or whatever.

am i doing something wrong?

That's happened to me before, I think it was when I tried to burn something faster than the DVD could handle (burning at 24x w/a 8x disc, etc.)

im not sure if i have a dvd burner now.....

unless this kind of burner can burn dvd's

can those burners burn dvd's?

i dont see that option

whenever i burn it it only goes 1 minute then stops the little preview it has and doesnt burn anymore. im not sure if the burner i have can burn dvd's

Try burning to image recorder and change the destination with the "write to hard disk folder". It may be freezing while converting, it should take awhile to convert usually.

dvd shrink ... didnt read all that writing , but if ur havin trouble cuz a dvd is too big for a disc , then use shrink , dvd shrink compresses it so it fits onto a blank dvd

if i write to hard disk where would i do with the saved project or whatever?

i tried it with image writing it on there but it ALWAYS stops burning in the EXACT spot.

its wmv file and it has always stopped there and it always freezes after i try to burn it. i always have to ctrl+alt+delete and stop the NeroVission.exe proccess so it stops or else it doesnt stop

am i doing something wrong?

alright ive tried hella times and it doesnt work it freezes and just doesnt keep going.

If you have a complete movie and the file is only 655 megabytes, it may be in the DivX format. That's the only format I know of that can be compressed like that to fit a entire movie on a CD-ROM. Nero may have a problem burning DivX files. could be another format, i dunno. but what you need to do is get the proper codec for the file you are trying to burn and convert to DVD format.

its in WMV.....and can i just convert to .vob or whatever or what should i do i dont fully understand what to do...i convert it to avi using winavi?then just burn it? i have it in avi also but i converted it to wmv cuz nero doesnt let me add avi files to burn
