I even felt that fag Durst on that track
at least you're honest.
The thing about 40 is that every album he'll do a few cool tracks and the rest is garbage. 40 does this consistently. On every album there's a bunch of weak ass songs, and they take away from the heat of his other tracks. case in point: falling rain.

That damn one where it goes "Want me to tie your shoes? lace me, lace me up?" that shit is gay.
Don't get me wrong, when forty comes with heat, shit is sav, but instead of putting out an aight album every few months, he needs to put out a heater every few years.
And as far as mailman goes, that was all heat. no complaints on that album.

Cats need to realize that we can't survive on shit that sounds like it was made in 1995...THOSE DAYS ARE OVER!!!

I love this album...From a producers standpoint I think Rick Rock has an AMAZING sound...

Just my 2 cents

ANYONE HEARD OF AN ALBUM?????? MEANING SOLID PRODUCTION, MIXING, FLOW, DELIVERY, LYRICS, BEATS, ALL BEING HEATED AND BEING PUT TOGETHER IN THE RIGHT WAY.

AN ALBUM IS NOT TIGHT, JUST CAUSE SOME DUDE SPITS TIGHT LYRICS.

IF 40 AINT GONNA GET A GOOD SOUND BEHIND HIM. TELL HIM TO PUT OUT AN ACCAPELA ALBUM, OR BOOK ON TAPE. SO I CAN LISTIN TO HIM SPIT WITH OUT GETTING ANOYED OR EMBARISED BY PLAYING IT OUT LOUD WITH THEM WEAK ASS BEATS BEHIND HIM.

real talk.

mark 7. where is the difference in the sound. where is the inovation. where are the west coast tracks.

i know this aint 95. but for some reason everyone loved the music back then, and says that these east coast sound the same type of boring un music related tracks are horrible. including me.

act ass was my favorite track. whyyyyyyy cause dudes voice brought some melody to at least on of the fucking tracks.

I don't know...not too crazy about it right now, but then, I wasn't nuts about LOYALTY & BETRAYAL either, and that CD sounds dope now for some reason...Lyrically, 40 came about the same to me as he did on GRIT & GRIND, but I thought the production on GRIT & GRIND was more distinctive (you could tell one track from the next). Hopefully, BREAKING NEWS will grow on me more...I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

PEACE!

I completely argee with you. Im over 1995 too.

Just cause this album sounds like it was made now doesnt make me not like it. Like I said, I think a lot of the production sounded repetitive, I think some of 40s chorus' were too long, I think his flow wasnt all that tight. Basically, this album lacked CHEMISTRY to me.

Like I said, Im a big 40 and Ric Rock fan. Grit n Grind was the shit! And the radio tracks are tight. But overall I just wasnt diggin the album.

madddogg, your right on point with what you said.

new sound is good. just not the boring same sound over and over. that shit is horrible.

grit & grind in my opinion was his best work. i mean there were to many cuts on that. i can almost play it all the way through. i think its the most unique album. all tracks sound different.
