Margarito hadn't fought in 10 months when he got in the ring with Clottey. and he fractured his wrist as well. His wrist was wrapped in the post fight interview. Clottey was 30-1 (19KO's) with his only loss to Baldomir. The guy isn't a chump.

this is true... you cant really say he looked bad when he was fighting injured.. i respect that . look at lacy a couple weeks ago . he looked horrible but he won with one arm . he tore his rotator cuff very early in the fight and fought through it. the dr. said he shouldnt have been able to lift a glass of water. he couldnt believe he fought 8 more rounds like that . i remember when v. klit. fought chris byrd and klit tore his cuff , he had to quit on the spot. fighting through injuries takes heart.

Looks like its going to be Mosley-Collazo in February ( according to Boxrec ), with the winner most likely facing Cintron, later in the year.

I think this should be a good way for Shane to get the feel back for the weight division...Collazo is no slouch either, look at how much trouble he caused Hatton.

I think that Mosley purposely priced himself out of the Cintron match, probably hoping for a tune up...we'll see what happens.

^ Same here, I think that Mosley was a little tentative to take the Cintron fight, knowing that he's a big puncher, especially coming back down from 154, to 147. I guess he figured that Collazo would be sort of a tune up for him.

ALL GOOD POINTS. THE FIGHTS THAT SHOULD HAPPEN THIS YEAR:
CALZAGHE VS. HOPKINS
Hell yeah, I think that Calzaghe is good. But B-Hop shits on southpaws, and I'd like to see Bernard stop him from breaking his 21 title middleweight defense record.

TAYLOR VS. WRIGHT (REMATCH)
Most definitely, I thought that Wright won the fight, by a small margin, but mostly because it seemed like he sat on his points lead in the latter rounds, especially the 12th. I think that Winky looked better in his last fight with Bazooka, than Taylor did against the much smaller Ouma.

MARGARITO VS. WILLIAMS

I'm not completely sold on Margarito, based on the fights that I've seen of his, and this should be a tough fight for him, because Williams freakish size/reach, and his high volume of punches. Should be a good fight, I'm still trying to see why Marg is considered ' The most ducked fighter '...Punisher keeps the pressure on at all times, and is a southpaw, so I think he'll give Marg a run for his money. I think the winner of this fights Cotto.

CORRALES VS. HATTON

I think this one would be a slugfest, and I love watching matches between guys like this, even though I feel like Chico should use his reach and box a little more, he always makes for exciting fights, and Hatton is the same way, so it'll def. be a thriller.

Changing the subject, does anyone know if Fernando Vargas is done fighting (on a major level), or if he has anything upcoming?
He's focusing on his phone company for now. that's all I've heard after his second loss to Mosley.

Panchito Bojado (who Vargas kicked out of his camp) is supposed to back as well.

Yeah, he's definitely one to keep an eye on. Also look out for Edwin Valero from Venezuela he's 20-0 with 20KO's in the featherweight division. There's one more prospect who supposed to be pretty good, I just can't think of his fucking name right now.

Bojado got lazy, that's why he got kicked out of Vargas' camp. He lost to Leijas, and who knows what happened from there. All I know is he is supposed to be making a come back.

Arce wants none of Darchinyan.

Be on the lookout for Malik Scott (heavyweight) in late 07. (26-0)

Joan Guzman is fighting Antonio Davis next week for Guzman's WBO junior lightweight title. Not a big fight, but I've been following Guzman for a couple years now and imo he is really impressive.
Guzman scored a one-sided unanimous decision against Davis, almost knocking Davis down in several rounds, Davis literally had to hold on to the ropes to prevent himself from going down a couple times, improving his record to 27-0 (17 KOs).

ESPN has Guzman ranked at #3 behind Barrera & Pacquiao in the JUNIOR LIGHTWEIGHTS (130 POUNDS). Keep an eye out for his name, he has a lot of talent.
