As far as the video goes, I was dissapointed. Prozak is cool but leave the directing to someone who does it for a living. The theme was a good idea, it's just it didn't flow very well. The video and audio was just didn't work together. And don't bitch because I am critical of the video. I know how much this all cost but that doesn't change the fact the editing was bad. The video to me looked like a video sequence playing to music. If I am wrong about this than my bad, maybe the feed wasn't running smoothly. Fact is I am a media student audio/video production and I have seen my fellow students turn in better projects. I had high hopes for the video. This isn't going to be Techs big break. And if I am wrong, cool. I'd rather be wrong and see Tech succeed, than be right and have a video that flops. Hopefully word of mouth can make this album blow up.

Okay kiddos.... I have seen the whole thing now. About fucking time and all, but like I said.... I have dial-up. Anyhow, not that anyone cares, but I'll add the 'ol two cents.

This video is by far my favorite out of the three Tech has done now. I will have to agree with MasZive in that they could have used a couple KC landmarks to their advantage. For example at the end, when he says, "...Kansas City, Missouri is where you gonna find me...," they could have flashed to him with either the downtown buildings behind him, or in front of the Crown scoreboard out at Kauffman Stadium. Something just to switch it up.

Parts of it are so jumpy, but then others are laid back. It is definately different, but that's what I like about it. In the middle of each verse, where the beat picks up for like three seconds, and they flash like 12 different scenes across the screen.... he could have not gone as fast, altho I understand why he did. And also, when they show Tech relaxing with the fans at a booth, why did they use that retarted imaging where you can barely even tell it's him? That would have looked better in regular vision. That's something you see in a lot of Rap videos that works, but was kinda botched on this one. I for one think there was plenty of Tech N9ne in the video, you just have to know where he is. I didn't particuarlly care for the blurriness of Tech right at the end either, but eh well.

All-in-all, I hafta disagree with most of you... this video rocks! (No I'm not fully or partially blind!) If it doesn't get play on MTV or BET, the reason will be not because "it's shitty," but because it doesn't have enough "bling-bling" in it for their audience. :paranoid:

I think the video was below average, but the album will still be fire. Sorry soulwinner but, as fans, we don't really want to hear that Tech will make more money per album even. We especially don't want to hear that this is a great plan because he doesn't have to sell as many records.

Anyway, my random thoughts on the video:

1. It grew on me more after 2-3x of watching it. It gets a bit better with age.
2. Never noticed howmuch the strange emblem on their shirts look like the "cobra kai" logo from the Karate Kid movie. "Sweep the Leg Johnny!", "Get him a body bag".
3. Does anyone else think this video was directed by the same guy that did the intro to the "Fresh Prince of Bel-air"? Same hurky-jurky (frame-rate drop) editing (especially when Krizz does the stomp). Come to think of it (here comes blasphemy) this song could almost be a Wil Smith song if it were slowed down a few beats.
4. The quick-flashes during the chorus remind me of cheesy 80's videos.

No I agree with you there, man. Of course we don't care as much about how much he makes, but more or less how much he sells (or ships). I was just saying that in the event this album does not reach Gold or Platinum status, at least with the albums they do sell, they will rake in more money. This is probably how Travis wanted to do it all along, but until you have established yourself at least a little bit, it is hard to get done.

when its available to vote for on BET.com and MTV.com or MTV2 ima vote for it. Tech n9ne is the Fucking truth and he deserve to get his shit on all those channels. i guy in another thread about the same thing told me that riot maker would get played on BET if the did make it a video, but he didnt explain why. before you say something like that remember this. Tech walks around with red hair from time to time and if there was any reason why, that would be it. on top of that his swagger is not like your average rapper and because of that he is overlooked. and that sucks about the industry
