Since when did I say they were investigating steroid use?

did the cream and the clear make marion jones and Tim Montgomery LEGS run faster??? the answer is yes. so whos to say it didnt make bonds hand-eye and bat speed faster???
HA HA....O.K.

Mcleanhatch said:
just like it made Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery slower after they bulked up huh.
Neither one is that big.

And they play a different sport. They train for speed...you can't really compare Barry to them.

You should try researching steriod use and training.

and by the way, i'll stick by the fact this is to get bonds. i know yeah, hes breaking a home run record, but i jsut dont understand how people wouldnt want to see it happen.
U dont even care that he MIGHT have done it on steroids???Uhhh...ok...???

another thing that irks me is the governments involvement...like Bush wants to get it in on the punishment, and mccain is backing him up..government should have NO involvement in this.

the reason why the government wantsto get into this is because this isnt only a problem in mlb, this is a problem that goes all the way back to high school...when i was in high school you could tell what was what...im a senior 4 yrs older than some freshman, that freshman comes back his sophomre year looking like he could squish my head between his biceps w the flex of a muscle, i mean huge difference...a lot of the ids playing sports were on something, wether legal or not, its a start...

when you have players like barry bonds who is a professional player taking it to the next level, kids who arent as good or talented are going to start taking this shit to bulk up and get to where bonds is right now, its more than just baseball...this is an epidemic, just like any other ilegal drug on the streets, its gradually becoming more of a problem...

when you have a star athlete in line for a scholarship to a college because of what he can do, you dont think theyre going all out to get into school, especailly those less fortuante economic wise.

personally i think that the government should stay out of MLB policies. they should let MLB clean out thier own house.

the goernment isnt the answer to all problems, especially those in the private sector

I agree, but I'm glad they made the threat. Maybe Selig will finally do something about it now.

actually i think it is McCain trying to get in on the action and Bush saying he would back him. either way it is wrong for them to try and legislate MLB policy

i can see how threatening might help, it might be a good thing. but to actually do something i dont think they should. they should stay out of it.

i think this could be just to put pressure on the players union to make conseccions on the drug policy since they are the ones holding it up in the first place.

It's our tax dollars building these stadiums, and our money that is paying these cheaters who are corrupting baseball's history.I hope the government get's involved for 2-3 years, and gets rid of the Giambi's and Bonds of the world.

BAMMER don't be so closed minded, the chances are your favorite player is juiced...

Remember the talks of Conseco writing a book about steroids in baseball, naming names and all, I thought that was just a little phase and just blew over but I was watching - I think it was Cold Pizza - and they interviewed Conseco, the book is on it's way. You can already pre-order a copy. Anyways, he said that steroids in baseball is just overwhelming and that the truth will set everything in place. More people than you think are juiced. It just so happens that Bonds was an already great hitter mixed with these enhancements, so it became painfully obvious with 73 homeruns and at such an old age.

On a side-note, they interviewd Hank Aaron and got his opinion, he said that there is absolutely nothing that you can put into a human body that will make them hit a curveball, but that regardless of how much it enhanced Bonds, it was just wrong.

I agree. They might not be shooting needles into their stomach and ass like Giambi admitted to doing, but they are on some type of shit. Mark McGwire was taking Androstene for days and look what it did for him. That is shit you can pick up at GNC. I think they banned Androstene within the past few years, but what is the difference? My friend even took that shit and became a monster. It might not be as dirty as a needle, but thats not the issue here.

If I could smoke menthols and gain 40 lb's of muscle mass am I an asshole cheater for doing it while I play sports?

Protein shakes are outdated it professional sports.

i cant wait for cansecos book but i cant help but think that canseco is still trying to stay in that spotlight, a few yrs ago it was his allegatiojns that he was being blackballed from the sport so hew ouldnt reach 500, his book is about 2 yrs in the making and now dude is naming a gang of names, is this for publicity? and if it is true, does he give a fuck about the sport and the truth, the books are going to be filling his pocket, and the guy himself is a roid user, he still looks like one.

What happened to natural raw athletic ability? We don't see Lebron James and them juicing to jump higher.

Athletes juice to help them improve their stamina and increase their work outs. Increasing muscle mass isn't as effective in the NBA and would shorten your vertical jump(since you have a heavier muscle mass to carry).
