He actually didn't understand it at all. It's going to take 10 years before he can petition the court for ownership of the house, not 3. He mostly likely will end up in court over it and get nothing but a whole lot of debt.

Thanks for the clarification. Because when I read up on it nowhere did I see 3 years this would take place. And he needs to consistently stay there for 10 years without his living arrnagement being interrupted or the clock so to speak starts all over again. Good luck bruh lol

I can't stand how people judge ownership of things by how hard you worked in life. "I've worked hard all my life to own my home." WELL THAT'S FUCKING GREAT! But if someone is able to skip that process, that's awesome. I'd personally would rather not kill myself to own what I want to own. We are all slaves to the system anyways, so why be so proud of owning something, you really don't own. "Ownership" is more about pride than anything, fuck that. Conceal your pride, don't let it get to your head.

How about people who win the lottery? The way they win all that money is pretty much effortless, besides picking the right numbers. Yet no one says anything in that situation. "He won the lottery, good for him, lucky guy."

i love how when this story was blasted all over reddit a week and a half ago the argument and anger was over him basically being a bum squatter and exploiting a loop hole to claim the house, then it hits siccness and all the sudden you got racial spin on the story. i didnt even know this guy was black actually. unless im thinking of another story of a guy that did it too
