I am the king of arguments. I am the king of the internet. I am a 600 lb gorilla (but please do not consfuse my mother with being a gorilla), I am the best at talking, I speak three languages
:knockout:
"He is the one who said "Sawhili is the key", yet he can't tell you or anyone else how it will be implemented, how it will work, how it will change the current system etc. The only thing he can do is TYPE and TALK." --- You complain that I am not able to tell you "how it will be implemented", or explain "how it will work", etc.....and then turn around and complain that all I can do is "TYPE and TALK". Its one of the most oxymoronical things I've read in a long ass time.
"This man can't play basketball! All he knows how to do is shoot the ball, rebound, pass to the open man, alley oop..." -- I mean, you sounded stupid. Blame yourself, not me.
Friend, the truth is that you are a joke. You are mad that the possibility is VERY REAL that the job I use to make my living, will be all talking and no manual labor. I am not sure why, perhaps some kind of sick racism bred into you where you think all Black people should have to suffer, but that is the way it is.
HERESY the internet character will play no part in the decision of whether or not I decide to teach or be a translator, rather than moving bricks or cleaning toilets.

TADOU,
YOU STRESSED, "Friend, I'm not the one sitting here and saying things like its a "waste of time" to learn Swahili..."
I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME. I IMPLIED THAT IT WAS TIME SOMEBODY WAS LOSIN'. gET IT RIgHT.
....So thats the best you can do? Arguing that "losing" time and "wasting" time are not the same thing?
You're going to need to do better than that.
OH, SO YOU FOLLOW ME AROUND AND TRY TO JUDgE ME? SO YOU KNOW EVERY POST I MADE THRU-OUT THE YEARS?
Would you like to start lising some posts you've made that matter?
I will happily list mine. Among them: the great majority of the posts I've made in the last few days regarding Swahili. Every last one of them contain statements of fact and new ways to approach the argument. I could lump every last one of them together, and create an 8-10 page report on this "experiment".
What is it that you can you do with what you've been saying? Profile how you think you're winning this E-Argument and putting the Great Dirty Shoez in his place?
AND IT'S ANOTHA TO NEVA SAID IT WAS A "WASTE OF TIME" AND BEIN' PERCEPTED BY SOME WHITEBOY.
For future reference, I am going to keep an eye out for how you describe people like Booker T Washington, Halle Berry, Frederick Douglass, and other Half-Black people. If you I EVER see you calling them Black, i will IMMEDIATELY be back in your face to bring this last comment up. You sound like a stupid ass.
SAME HERE. BUT YOU CAN'T PREACH SHIT TO ME AND YOU NOT DOIN' WHAT YOU PREACH.
If you feel I am preaching, that is your own problem.
If i was a Nobel Prize-winning Human Rights Activist at the age of 24, and all of the sudden a Draft were instituted...thats your own dumbass problem if you want to think I should drop everything and go defend the country I love, rather than doing the SMART THING and getting the deferment so that I might continue my work.
If you think learning 2 languages, and actively working towards being able to TEACH SWAHILI IN THE FIRST PLACE, is not good enough..........that is your own issue and short-coming. Holes in your own logical reasoning skills. Not my concern.
IF YOU SAY SO. JUST DON'T COME AT ME WITH IT, SINCE YOU AIN'T PRIORITIZIN' TO LEARN IT, BUT TRYIN' TO LEARN TWO OTHA WHITEMAN LANgUAgES BEFORE SWAHILI.
No, it IS so. Again, ask around.
Again with the "WHITE MAN" shit, Lol. You really are mad that I said that to you, aren't you? When will you understand that LEARNING and being SATISFIED WITH are 2 very different things?
You are SATISFIED WITH only knowing Whiteman languagves! You DO NOT want to learn African or other ones. -- I am LEARNING Whiteman languages because they are NECESSARY for my profession, and at the same time, I am WORKING TOWARDS Non-Whiteman languages, already can read some Arabic, know which languages are spoken where and by who, etc.
HUGE difference.
THEN YOU STRESSED, "In fact, for 98% of college students, its probably more than enough. -- Which reminds me: You act as if hundreds of millions of Black people don't speak Romance languages."
HOW'S THAT?
How's what?
Are you having problems understanding that Spanish and French majors don't mix, or are you having problems understanding that hundreds of Millions of Black people speak Whiteman languages?
Like I said in the other thread: I am not learning Danish or Czech. I am learning Spanish and French, both of which are not only helpful for my profession, but both of which are EACH spoken by TENS OF MILLIONS of Black people.
I have already studied abroad in Mexico, a 3rd world country. Why not Dakar, or Santo Domingo, or Port-au-Prince, or a city like this? Do you even know where these 3 cities are located?
YOU ACT LIKE I'M WAITIN' FOR YOU TO TEACH ME IT OR SAMETHIN'. I gIVES A FUK WHAT YOU DO. MY POINT IS THAT YOU SHOULDN'T PREACH SOMETHIN' YOU AIN'T PRACTICIN'. SO IF YOU AIN'T LEARNIN' SWAHILI, THEN WHY DON'T YOU SAVE YOUR PREACHIN' TIL YOU ARE? I'D ATLEAST HAVE THAT MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU. BUT SINCE YOU AREN'T, YOUR WORDS CARRY NO WEIgHT AND ARE EMPTY.
Friend, Language classes aren't strictly composed of JUST STUDYING LANGUAGE. They are also (and LARGELY, even) composed of cultural study, EXPLANATIONS about the language, and things like these.
I am studying ALL of this groundwork. The thing i am NOT studying, is the LANGUAGE ITSELF, because it is CONFUSING. -- As someone who HAS NOT studied 2 foreign languages at the same time, you DO NOT understand how it would be confusing to add a third. This is your OWN FAULT...NOT Mine.
WHAT ARgUMENT? THAT YOU DON'T PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH?
Exactly. You are not making any sense, no matter how much you try.
I could really care less that you `Speak' Spanish. The broader point here is not about Spanish. Spanish is something you happen to know, not something that matters.
