i saw ER ads on mtv2 pretty often...never saw the MLK ad once, and no street team promos...then again i could have just missed it

any idea on when we will get release updates on other strange releases, other than critical bill?

btw all u fuckers support other strange artist, mostly talking to the new folks
While everyone is on tour. It is hard to gauge. I will look into it and of course I will get it up here for ya.

my guess?

MLK will drop off of the hot 100 charts entirely...just like Everready did. Since every else isn't selling either, it might stay on in the high 80's or 90's but I doubt it. It'll be off by the next week for sure...most hip hop fans are gonna be scoopin' the Common album (my bet...Com=album of the year).

Short of putting out a single and having it break in a market like LA or NY it won't rise any. That's the nature of the beast for ALL releases.

well, I'm partly right. it DID fall below 100 - it was 119 its second week - but a "Hot 100" chart doesn't exist. It's the top 200. hehe...

1-2 more weeks on the top 200, if that.

I’m shocked at these numbers, good shit for Tech.

But on another note I’m not sure I’m 100% digging this. I think a lot of casual fans bought it thinking it was his next proper release and will be disappointed after listening to it, not realizing it was just a side-project collaboration deal. (Then again it says it right on the cover, lol)

While I enjoy some tracks off it, it’s not near any of Tech’s 3 main albums and may leave a bad impression on some listeners.

Then again what do I care, I’m greedy and rather Tech be a cult thing anyways. >_>

What is impressive to me is that Tech has gotten 200 or 250 out of Absolute power I think it was. Tech has a decent week under his first release, but his product sells itself. LLoyd Bank's last cd sold like 200 and some with tons of cash and 50 on his coattail. Tech sales come after the first week, not from a big debut week. Think how many weeks his cd has to be bubbling to get to the 100,000 everready has already surpassed.
