all it means is that the guys trying out for a spot on the team for the giants need to step it up.. and the guys making defensive mistakes need to work on it so they don't make those in the regular seaason. WE TALKIN' BOUT PRATICE MAN!

They just played 2 games against each other and the Royals beat them down both times. I think its safe to say the Royals were the "better" of the two teams then. Yes, It is only spring training I agree.... but that doesn't mean these games are pointless does it?

Spring training games ARE indeed...NOT pointless

If they were they wouldn't even bother playing them now would they?

Baseball is like no other sport out there...162 games outside in the dead of summer most of the time, atleast 5 games a week, day after day, city to city. Spring training is indeed needed to prepare the players for the long season. Go ahead and ask any player or coach and they'll tell you the same thing.

They are pointless. Spring training games mean nothing. Theyre experimenting, winning is an afterthought. Fuck, i love the royals but if spring training meant anything theyd be a 100 game winner year after year.

spring games serve a purpose, shake off the rust. other than that 2 see what the youbgsters can do. starters play like 3 innings so no1 givs a shit if they win.

damn not that much love for boston beckett, dice-k, lester, smoltz after the all star break...hopefully penny and masterson can get it together. yankees should be the most dominant but who knows.

yes, when your starting pitchers go 2 innings, yes. its fucking tryouts for the youngsters and practice for the vets
