So I've been going to Crustaceans since I was in high school and used to always get the garlic roasted crab until one day I was listening to the radio and Trace & Franzen (sp) ol school KMEL dj's used to always talk about getting high and ordering the tamarind crab. On my next visit I tried it and was hooked. I don't even think I tried anything with tamarind before in my life until that point. Next time you get a chance to go to Crustaceans you should give it a shot.

Bonus: The world famous garlic noodles. Nobody can make it like the Ann family. As I mentioned before in another food thread, only 2 people in the world know how to make this. Miss Ann herself and her daughter. If Crustaceans runs out of them and neither one of them are available you're just shit out of luck.

i used to love crustacean and thang long there other resturant untill i found out one fact.now i can never go back.my boy was an AM there for a quick minute and he told me some shit.....THEY COOK ALMOST EVERYTHING IN MICROWAVES!!!!! theres a room with no windows in the kitchen where alot of stuff is made and its basically a room with a wall of microwaves that no one knows about,all cooks have to sign waivers never to discuss it.now part of me doesnt care because its still hella good and theyv probably mastered the art of cooking with a microwave,but aint no god damn way i can pay 40 bucks for something that was made in a microwave,thats prob why they do so damn well,thats like 85% profit.again,after long debate i salute them for beable to make something so good out of a microoven,they prob got that shit down to the second.R and G lounge is my crab destination now a days

Race Street though - 4 REAL - I hit them up every time Im in town. Clam Chowder & Some fish & Chips


Crabs are fresh daily , same family has been running it since the start !!!!!

Their italian so their good folks.

^^^Yeah^^^..... We'll break the claws off the ones we catch and throw two or three whole dungeness in the hot water pot and eat them right there on the pier while chillin!
