best pimp (mack) rapper ever??

how many of these rappers were actually pimps though? i mean did too short or mac dre really have a stable of hoes who they called bitches all day and made sure went out everyday turned tricks and brought them all their money?
i know thats all they talk about in their raps, but lets remember hip hop is just a big show with made up characters, who are either gangsters, pimps, billionaires etc.
i remember snoop was on howard stern with the eastsiders and they were talking about their pimpin and hoes and all that, and the whole time snoop and his boys were just laughing almost like they knew how ridiculous they sounded. telling howard "yeah i got bout 100 bitches in my stable", then just laughing after saying it.
i could be wrong, but i think very few are legit, most are not. at least well known rappers
