Bo doesn't have the stats to back up the fact I put him in my top 5 but I stand by the fact that his combination of size, speed, athleticism, agility and hands were as good as I've seen.

His career ain't top-5 but I think his talent was..

Why pfft at Bo Jackson at 5?? He was sick!
he was sick I just don't think he did enough to be considered a top 5 back.

now since then I re-read the thread and i see the poster said at their primes, at their best, so bo is cool.

I fully stand by my curtis martin/emmit smith statements, though. There are probably 50 backs I'd rather have than Martin.

Nah you just forgot about by homie C-Mart and are to stubborn and prideful to admit to me you were wrong and that C Mart at the very least deserves to be on the top ten list and that comment about 50 other backs is ridiculous, and i misspoke earlier his first 10 seasons he runs for a 1,000 plus every year!!!!

1. Walter Payton
2. Earl Campbell
3. Jim Brown
4. Barry Sanders
5. Adrian Peterson (A little too premature and there are a ton of upcoming RB's that can take his place but I'll stick by it)

Curtis Martin has more yards, touchdowns and as many or more pro bowl selections than everyone out of the ones you listed, this is the second back in the history of football to run for 1,000 yds every season fo his first ten seasons!!!! your trippin somethin fierce

These are the top 3 right here, it doesn't matter where exactly you have them in the top 3...they just need to be there. There is quite a few that deserve to be the final two in the list, its basically a toss up imo. Dickerson, Simpson, Campbell, Sayers, Jackson, Faulk and Tomlinson.

I would put Sayers at 4 and Bo at 5 just because they were both freaks of nature and they didn't get to play that long....just on the pure potential they had they made my top 5.

the guy never rushed for over 1,000 yards in a season, not saying the guy is a chump, but top 5?? HELL NO!
that guy only played half a season, and was backup to marcus alllen.

how many guys named here averaged 5 yards a carry for their careers?

to say hell no is wrong, if he was full time leading back there is no way he wouldnt be top 5 on anyones list.

So he wasn't better then Marcus Allen who is not a top 5 Rb in my list or most people's, yet you still think BO should be top 5?? Also if he was a starter I bet that average would drop big time. Easy to break big runs when you have another Rb taking on most of the load then they sub in another Rb once the defense has been worn out.

Also you would know more then me since you're a raider fan but didn't he play 4 seasons, I'm also sure he had more then a few starts. Don't recall him being a backup.
