I've gone to see Bonds play a couple but come game time they took him out the starting line up. I have seen Tom Glavine pitch, Chipper Jones, and few others can't think of them right now.

I'd agree that he's the most dominant pitcher that I've ever seen, but all time? I'd put Nolan Ryan and Bob Gibson in front of him.
Ryans overrated. he only had a .52 winning percentage or something like that. cant be the most dominant when you barely win more than half your games.

In baseball, you can be dominant with that winning pct. Its a team game and he has no control over his teams run production. All time leader in strikeouts and no hitters=most dominant pitcher EVER. Those two stats alone show that he dominated hitters, how is that overrated? He's not my favorit pitcher of all time, but I respect how great of a pither he was.

I agree that you can't judge a pitcher by what team he was on. The thing is, the truly dominant pitchers can overcome a bad team.

Look at Lincecum last year...bad Giants team but great pitcher.

Cliff Lee on the Indians too is another great example.

Barry Bonds. I wish people knew.

I remember 2003, when they were playing the Braves in the summer. This was back when the braves were the shit. One game, he hit the game winning home run. Another game, they walked him, he moved around the bags and scored the winning run. The last game, he hit another game winning homerun. The Giants swept them.

You can hate on Barry however much you want. Just remember his gold gloves, stolen bases, hitting in the most difficult park in baseball, and games when he was clutch. Also, remember how often folks walked him and how many more homers he would have hit if he was pitched to.

I saw Bo Jackson play about 4 times. I think he hit a homerun in every game except for one. I remember one game he had a homerun, double, and triple, and had the chance to hit for the cycle but came up with another double. Watching that guy take batting practice was the best part. He'd be knockin balls left and right into the upper deck. Too bad he played football and ruined his career.
