Exactly. But I CAN tell you that the best MAC DRE albums are YOUNG BLACK BROTHA and STUPID DOO DOO DUMB. Those are both classics and belong in any Bay fan's collection (as does the first ROMPILATION collection).
After those, RAPPER GONE BAD is pretty damn dope, too--it's not as consistent as the two CDs cited above, but it's worth pickin' up, as is THE CUTTHOAT COMMITTEE's "TURF BUCANEERS," which doesn't have a lot of lyrical substance (mostly songs about partying and picking up women and shit), but it's fun to hear MAC DRE, DUBEE and PSD go back and forth.
His two most recent solos, IT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY, IT'S HOW YOU SAY IT and THIZELLE WASHINGTON both have SOME great songs, too, but the production and engineering aren't the greatest. The dope cuts make both CDs worth getting if you're already a fan, but the questionable sound quality ultimately renders these CDs "good, but not great." You might be better off buying these used (so you don't have to pay full price).

imo, mac dre's albums released before "tongue of a pimp" were on a very different level than of those released after "tongue of a pimp". What happened to the style he used on "life's a bitch" that street philosphy that i grew up admiring. "love those that love you, but don't let love fuck up your vision" He has used many different producers throughout his years, and I believe that many agree that he sounds the best with the likes of K-Lou and Khayree..
